Larry the Lizard, with scales bright and green, sat by himself in a meadow at the edge of town. He looked at the houses and pathways, watching the comings and goings of others. He wondered, "Does anyone truly love me?"

He sighed, and started walking slowly towards his home.
"Do they really care about me? Do I even matter to anyone in all that I do? Why am I feeling so down right now, I wish I could just feel better."

On his way home, Larry met Sara the Squirrel. She was gathering nuts near the path, her tail twitching thoughtfully.

"Hello, Larry!" Sara chirped, stopping her work. "You don't seem like your usual self. Is there something on your mind?"
Larry looked up at the big, fluffy clouds drifting lazily across the sky...

What should I tell her? he thought. Should I tell her I'm feeling really sad, or should I just say I'm fine, like always? He knew he didn't want to bother Sara, but his heart felt heavy.

Larry took a deep breath. "Well, Sara," he began, his voice a little quiet. "To be honest, I'm just... I'm not feeling very loved lately. I keep wondering if anyone truly cares about me, or if I even matter at all."

"Oh, Larry," she chirped softly, hopping a little closer. "That's not true at all! Of course, you're loved, and you matter so much to so many of us."She paused, a thoughtful look on her face. "You know what? I have a special spot I like to go to when I'm feeling a bit down or unsure. Would you like to come with me?"
Sara stopped gathering nuts and looked directly at Larry, her bright eyes full of warmth.
Larry looked up, his sad expression softening just a bit. "Sure," he said, a tiny spark of hope flickering in his eyes. "I'd like that very much, Sara."

And with that, Sara led the way, and off they went, on the path towards her special spot.

The path gently curved until they stepped into a hidden clearing. Sunlight filtered through the leaves of towering trees. As they walked up, Larry's eyes widened at the beautiful scene he saw.
