You're not broken. You're becoming.
You're just a little Earth with big weather inside.
When Earth Had a Tummy Ache

One morning, the Earth woke up feeling strange...
She wiggled her toes and blinked at the sky,
But something inside gave a fluttery sigh.
Her sunshine felt heavy, her breeze hid away
She whispered, "I'm just having a hard day."
She tried to smile. She tried to stay bright.
But even Earth knew she couldn't hold on tight.
Her stomach flipped, her skies turned gray,
her rivers churned—look at all this dismay.
Big feelings like these don't just blow away.
Then — a low hum rose from deep inside. It trembled the ground and widened her eyes. "I can't hold it in!" Poor Earthy said.
Her oceans surged. Her crust gave a moan.
She felt like hiding all on her own.
She whispered "I'm sorry," and wanted to run, but something warm stopped her before she was done.
Elephant, sturdy, wise, and kind
Wrapped Earth in words that softened her mind.
"Hey, Earth, it's ok - sometimes we break. Even strong ones like you can have a tummy ache."
Bear waddled over with slow, steady paws. She didn't rush. But she also didn't even pause.
She sat beside Earth and gave her some space-
Then gently nuzzled close with a warm, soft face.
"You don't have to smile," Bear said with care.
"You don't have to speak," said Elephant there.
We'll sit with you through the shake and the ache.
"No fixing, no forcing - we'll take a break.
Like leaves on a lake, we'll breathe slow.
And breathe right beside you as you let go."
Earth peeked around the fog in her sky.
Her belly still hurt, even if only a little.
But she let out a sigh. Not all better... but not all alone
And that small truth felt steady as stone.
As the sky began to clear and the rumbling slowed. A sprout peeked up where her feelings had flowed.
It shimmered with hope in place Earth forgot. You're still growing even when you're not.
She cuddled with her friends and breathed in the air.
Her tummy still wobbled- but they were still there.
And sometimes, just knowing that someone will stay-
Can help the earth in a big giant way.
A grumble echoed from under the ground,
A shaky, wobbly, uncomfortable sound.
It's happening again, the Earth whispered low.
Her feelings were stirring and ready to show,
But Bear just nodded and stayed by her side.
"Let it out," she said. "You don't have to hide.
You're not bad for shaking or feeling this way-
Big feelings don't mean you ruined the whole day."
The shaking slowed. The tears still came.
But Earth didn't feel quite the same.
This time, she noticed her belly felt light-
Like a little bit of the storm lost its bite.
She peeked through the damage, the soot, and the cracks.
Then looked to her helpers, who never turned their backs.
"Why didn't you leave when I started to roar?"
Bear said, "because even in storms deserves someone to stay for."
Elephant added, "You're not too much.
You're Earth- and you're learning to feel and trust - it can sometimes be scary even for us.
But when you tremble or flare. We'll be right there, we always care."
