AIRPLANE R-80
BJ Habibie was known for his expertise in aircraft design. He created many aircraft, including the R80. This aircraft was designed with the latest and most advanced technology, ensuring a high level of passenger safety. Unlike most aircraft, the R80 is equipped with fly-by-wire technology, which uses electronic signals to issue commands. Fly-by-wire is a control system that uses electronic signals to issue commands. The R80 was designed by PT Regio Aviasi Industri (RAI). PT Regio Aviasi Industri (RAI) is a company engaged in aircraft design, development, and manufacturing. The company was founded by BJ Habibie and his eldest son, Ilham Akbar Habibie. This company specifically developed the R80 aircraft . The aircraft, designed by Habibie, is scheduled to make its first flight at Kertajati International Airport, West Java, which is still under construction.

AIRPLANE N-250
Another work by BJ Habibie is the N-250 aircraft. The N-250 is a regional commuter turboprop civil passenger airliner originally designed by IPTN (now PT Dirgantara Indonesia, PT DI, Indonesian Aerospace), Indonesia. The use of the code "N" (Nusantara) indicates that the design, production, and calculations were carried out in Indonesia, or even by Nurtanio, the founder and pioneer of the Indonesian aviation industry. This aircraft was Habibie's idea. B.J. Habibie's consideration in producing this aircraft (even though he is no longer the director of IPTN) was, among other things, the fact that one of its competitors, the Fokker F-50, had been discontinued since its inception in 1985, after his manufacturing company, Fokker Aviation in the Netherlands, went bankrupt in 1996.

CRACK PROGRESSION THEORY
The Crack Theory marked the beginning of BJ Habibie's contribution to the aviation industry. Around 1960, aircraft technology was not as advanced as it is today. Therefore, it was not uncommon to find damage to aircraft fuselages that, if left untreated, would have been extremely dangerous if flown unchecked. BJ Habibie, using his theory, was able to calculate cracks in aircraft fuselages caused by fatigue. Fatigue-prone points in aircraft fuselages typically occur at the joints between the wing and fuselage, or between the wing and engine mounts. This fatigue is triggered by continuous, severe shocks, both during takeoff and landing. This then becomes the beginning of cracks. Over time, these cracks grow longer and can have dire consequences, as the wing could potentially break unexpectedly. Based on this problem, Habibie then proposed a theory that could provide a solution to the problems facing the aviation industry at that time. Through the Crack Theory, Habibie successfully calculated the cracks in detail, down to the atomic level. In this way, the risk of aircraft crashes can be prevented and maintenance can be made easier and cheaper.
DORNIER DO-31 AIRPLANE
The Dornier DO-31 was the first aircraft designed by BJ Habibie. It was the world's first transport aircraft to perform vertical takeoff and landing using VTOL (Vertical Take-Off & Landing) technology. This uniquely designed aircraft was an experimental transport jet owned by West Germany. At the time, this aircraft was specifically designed to meet NATO specifications. However, due to high production costs and several other technical issues, the Dornier DO-31 project was ultimately canceled. NASA eventually acquired the rights to the Dornier DO-31 design, and BJ Habibie's name was also included in the list of contributors to the aircraft's design.
