Prologue

No one was safe.

Yes, the Amazon is dangerous, but humans are worse. They would come down kill us and take our young. 

I watched glumly as they took the Amazon Dolphin and put it in a small tank. 

Animals don't belong in cages

And they will never have my daughter. I looked at the egg under me.

In a lush rainforest, the Amazon to be specific where the air was moist and sticky, birds were singing, flowers bloomed everywhere, it smelled of flowers, and there lived hummingbirds.

Not just any hummingbirds, the Iridesca humming bird. Iridesca hummingbirds hatch ugly, and grow up to be beautiful, stunning Hummingbirds. They were orange, white, pink, and a beautiful shade of greenish blue.

Sadly, these beautiful birds are facing the brink of extinction being hunted to be taxidermized

These birds are really rare. Facing the brink of extinction. If you see one report to Havan's Animal Reseach Zoo, or HARZ.

Legand says these birds bare magic. We don't know anything else about these hummingbirds.

                            Chapter 1 Told by Hannah

''Are you even listening?'' my aunt said. Suddenly I snapped out of my daydream. 

''Yes, you were talking about the Iridesca hummingbird. How they are rare and mystical and magical.'' I said. I did not know by listening but just knowing that's ALL she talks about. Save Iridescas. Like always. In my opinion, I don't care about birds.

My aunt squinted her eyes at me suspiciously.

''Okay...'' She said then walked away. 

I decided to take a walk in the town. Sadly, my aunt lives next to the Amazon Rainforest. So, no exploring the woods. 

                                       There!!

Was a tiny bird hatchling. Not even a day old. It was to be honest.

REALLY UGLY. 

No joke but I had compassion on the poor thing and picked it up. 

It rolled over helplessly in my hands.

In the end I decided to keep it but hide it from my aunt.

I set the baby bird down then said ''What should I name you?''

Then the baby bird pointed its hideous beak toward the word happiness on my book Guide to Happiness.

Well, Happiness it is.
