A New Beginning
Tally is eleven years old, standing at the edge of a new world. Sixth grade at Kingswood Academy is about to begin. She feels nervous about the new uniforms, the noisy corridors, and the pressure to fit in. But Tally also feels a spark of hope—because maybe this year she will find her place.

Wearing the stiff school uniform is difficult. Every button feels tight, every fabric scratchy. Tally’s mum encourages her with love, but inside Tally feels like a problem, someone who is always “too much.” Yet, her mum reminds her that she is perfect just the way she is.

Friendship and Fear
At school, Tally meets her friends—Layla, Ayesha, and Lucy. For a moment, she feels safe. But soon, conversations about boys, makeup, and popularity make her feel different again. She tries juggling, she tries joking, but instead of fitting in, she feels more out of place

The World Feels Loud
Crowds, bells, teachers, and teasing voices surround her. Tally struggles to keep calm when the world spins too fast. Sometimes she wishes she could hide behind her tiger mask and be strong like Tiger Girl—the version of herself who is fearless.
