MY FIRST STORY BOOK

The story is based on honesty and happiness .

Ayaan loved playing cricket every evening in the park near his home in Lahore.

One day, while chasing a ball, Ayaan tripped over something shiny in the grass

It was a brand-new cricket bat! Its handle was wrapped in fresh red tape.

Ayaan picked it up and thought, “Wow! This bat looks amazing.”

For a moment, he wanted to keep it. “I could be the best batsman with this,” he thought

But then, he remembered what his teacher always said: ‘Honesty is the best policy.

Ayaan looked around the park. No one came to claim the bat.

He decided to ask his friends. “Did anyone lose this bat?” he shouted.

His friends said, “No, it’s not ours. Maybe someone forgot it.”

Ayaan thought hard. “I should return it. Someone must be sad without it.

He walked to the nearby sports shop in the bazaar.

nside the shop, he asked the shopkeeper, “Uncle, did someone lose this bat?”

The shopkeeper’s eyes lit up. “Yes! A boy came crying this morning. He lost his new bat.”
