Once upon a time, in a small valley surrounded by mountains, lived a girl named ashley. She loved drawing pictures of the tallest peak of the mountain, which everyone said was impossible to climb.
The mountain always looked cloudy and dark at its peak, and villagers believed no one could reach the top. “It’s too dangerous,” the elders warned. “Stay safe in the valley.”
But Ashley’s heart whispered a different story. Every time she saw the sun rise behind the mountain, painting the sky in beautiful colors she felt that the mountain was calling her

One afternoon, Ashley sat by the river with her sketchbook where she draws. Her best friend, Amir, watched her draw.
“You really think you can climb it?” he asked, shaking his head in a slightly disappointing way.
Ashley nodded. “Not just for me. I want to prove to everyone that impossible things can be possible. If I reach the top, maybe others will start to believe in it and their own dreams too.”
Amir sighed but smiled. “Then I’ll help you pack. But promise me you won’t give up halfway please.”

The following morning, Ashley set out with a small backpack, sturdy shoes, and her sketchbook tucked safely inside to prevent it getting lost.
The climb was harder than she imagined. The path grew steep, and sharp rocks cut her hands many times. Dark clouds gathered, and the cold wind bothered her face.
At one point, Ashley slipped and nearly fell. She sat on the ground, shivering, crying while tears went down her cheeks.
“I can’t do this,” she whispered. “Maybe everyone was right.”
But then, she remembered the faces of other children in the valley who were the ones who looked up at the mountain with fear, never daring to dream. She took a deep breath, stood up, and kept climbing since she was determined.
After many hours on the mountain, Ashley reached a ledge below the clouds. The air was thin, and every step felt very heavy. She wanted to quit once again.
Suddenly, she pulled out her sketchbook and drew a picture of herself standing on the top peak, arms raised in victory. She looked at the drawing and smiled, since this was motivating her.
“This is who I am,” she told herself. “Not someone who gives up, but someone who keeps going no matter what the challenge is.”
Fueled by hope, Ashley pushed forward through the mist, each step carrying her higher and higher to the top.
At last, Ashley stood on the summit of the mountain. The clouds broke apart, and the sunrise painted the sky with colors brighter than she had ever seen in her life.
She lifted her sketchbook and drew the view of the valleys, the rivers, and the tiny houses far below. Then she raised her arms and shouted, “I did it!” This was an emotional moment for her.
When Ashley returned to the valley, she wasn’t just the girl who loved to draw. She was the girl who proved that dreams, no matter how impossible they may seem, can be reached if you keep climbing and keep pushing yourself.
And from that day on, whenever the children looked up at the mountain, they no longer saw an impossible mountain. They saw a dream waiting to be chased/climbed.
