Students create their own story inspired by the video title.
The story can be realistic (e.g., a child who decides to stop using plastic straws) or fantasy (e.g., a straw that decides to save the animals).
They should use images, colors, and imagination.
All stories (one each school) will be collected and uploaded to StoryJumper, to create a collaborative digital book.

The Straw That Wanted to Save the Sea
13th Primary School of Agrinio Greece
On a beach full of colors lived a small plastic straw.
But it wasn’t like the others…
It dreamed of helping the sea it loved.
One morning it saw a frightened fish. “I almost got tangled in plastic…” the fish said sadly. The straw felt sad.
“I don’t want to hurt my sea,” said the straw. “I must find a way to help!”
Suddenly, a colorful bottle cap called out to it:
“Don’t worry! You’re not useless. Together we can do something good!”
So they began an amazing journey along the beach, searching for help.
They reached a group of children who were collecting litter for recycling.
“Maybe these kids know what we should do!” said the straw.
One child picked them up gently.
“We can turn you into something new! Something useful!”
The children cut the straw and the cap and joined them with other plastics.
They made a beautiful, colorful pencil case!
The straw became the shiny blue handle of the case.
The cap became a small button on its lid.
The straw felt joy! It wasn’t trash.
It was useful and helped the children every day.
All around the school they said:
“This is what happens when you give plastics a second chance!”
And the children kept protecting the sea and nature.
Because every small action… can change the world!

THE FOUND PLASTIC BAG
At a school in Pinerolo, during recess, the second graders were playing in the garden. One day, Marta saw a plastic bag flying between trees. It got stuck on a brunch and swayed in the wind.
"Look!" said Marta. "It's ugly to see plastic on the trees!"
Then their teacher Mary had an idea:
"Why don't we collect all the trash in
the garden and make something useful from it?"
The children got to work. They found bottles, caps, and many plastic bags.
After cleaning them, they used them
to create a big colorful mural
that said: "The Earth is our home."

From that day on, every Friday the second graders check the garden to make sure it's clean and the old bag Marta found is now part of their beautiful mural.

Is it just a straw?
A long time ago, at the beginning of the 20th century, people lived close to nature. They used paper, wood, and glass. There was no plastic. The air was clean, the water was clear, and animals lived safely. People were healthy and happy.

In the year 1935, the Kosteczko family wanted to buy a newspaper because their neighbour said that there was something very important and a “big deal”. Everyone already had the newspaper, but the Kosteczkos could not find one. All newspapers were sold out.
One evening, they met a strange old woman. She said she had the last newspaper. She also knew that the family did not have one. This was strange, but the Kosteczkos really wanted to read the news.
The old woman said:
“Give me 20 dollars, or I will burn the newspaper.”
The family was scared but agreed and paid her.

In the newspaper they read:
“Our famous inventor Henry discovered that it is possible to make more durable straws from plastic than from paper! What is more they will be used everywhere!!!"
The Kosteczkos said:
“It’s only a straw. It cannot be dangerous.”
A few days later, Mr. and Mrs. Kosteczko went for a walk. When they went outside, they smelled something very bad. The air was dirty, smelly, they couldn't breathe and started to cough.
Then the couple looked around and saw plastic straws everywhere — on the streets, in gardens, near houses, and in the river. There were also plastic bags, bottles, and gloves. The whole village was full of plastic!!!
People walked by and did nothing. No one picked up the trash. The Kosteczkos were very sad.
Mr. Kosteczko said:
“We must do something. This is not normal.”

They decided to go to Inventor Henry- very "famous" peron in the village.
On their way, they saw even more plastic trash- that was very sad. When they arrived at Henry’s big factory they saw a lot of machines making millions of plastic straws.
Henry laughed and said:
“Soon the whole world will be full of plastic!”
Suddenly, the machines broke down. A huge number of plastic straws fell and covered Henry so much, that he ran away and didn't come back. The Kosteczkos left the factory as fast as they could.
They went back to the village and told everyone what had happened. Then people finally understood that plastic is dangerous.

All the villagers started cleaning together. They picked up thousands of straws and other trash from the streets, gardens, and river. The village slowly became clean again.
From that day, people remembered one important lesson:
We must protect nature.

KAĞAN AND RECYCLING
Once upon a time, there was a boy named Kağan. Kağan always threw recyclable waste into the regular trash can.
Plastic bottles, glass cups, paper, broken water bottles, bitten apples, and used batteries… they all went into the same trash can.
The garbage was very sad and angry about this situation. They were fed up with it.

One day, they talked amongst themselves and decided to go to the recycling bins.

Meanwhile, the recycling bins were complaining about being empty, waiting for recyclable waste.
Finally, the garbage embarked on a long journey.
Days later, they reached the recycling center and were sorted one by one, making them reusable.
After some time, these recycled items ended up in Kağan's hands again.
He stopped and thought for a moment. Now he knew what to do. He started putting all the trash into the recycling bins.
Just as Kağan was about to throw them back in the trash, he suddenly remembered what he'd learned in class: recycling!
The trash was very happy to see this. Kağan also felt great, both for protecting nature and for doing the right thing.

ONE CLEVER BOTTLE
One sunny day, Alex saw lots of plastic bottles thrown on the ground. They made the grass dirty, and animals couldn't play safely.
"Oh no!" said Alex. "These bottles don't go away. They just pile up!"
He picked up one bottle and thought hard. Then he had a great idea!
Alex washed the bottle, cut it carefully, and turned it into a bird feeder. He filled it with seeds and hung it on a tree.

Soon, his friends joined him. They collected more bottles and made planters for flowers, toys, and even pencil holders!
The park became clean and beautiful. Birds sang happily, and everyone smiled.
Just like Isatou with her plastic bags, Alex showed that one small idea can make a big difference.

Some people throw plastic bottles away in parks or beaches. These bottles are "unlucky". Some people recycle plastic bottles. They are the "lucky" ones

We are in a factory making plastic bottles. There are two bottles next to each other, who become best friends. In the one, there is cola and in the other one, there is water. But one day, lots of tracks come and take the bottles out.
THE STORY OF
"THE PLASTIC BOTTLE LOST IN THE SEA"
BY STUDENTS OF CLASS E2
3rd primary School Of Serres (Teacher: Suzana Drampa)
The two bottles are in different trucks now. The bottle of cola sees his friends, the plastic bottles lying on the road. Finally, they arrive at a big supermarket and put the bottle on a shelf.
One child buys the cola bottle, takes the bottle and goes to the beach. The little child drinks the cola and throws the bottle away on the sand.
The bottle is “unlucky”. That moment the wind blows and takes the bottle into the sea. With the power of water, the lid opens and the bottle sinks to the bottom of the sea.

There, the bottle sees many weird fish, other destroyed plastic bottles and lots of rubbish.

After many years, the waves take it back to the beach. Then, a team of kids see the rubbish and collect it in black plastic bags. Finally, they throw it in the recycling bin and there-what a surprise- it finds its lost friend from the factory.
THE STORY OF
"THE PLASTIC BOTTLE LOST IN THE FOREST"
BY THE STUDENTS OF CLASS E1

(Teacher: Suzana Drampa)
Nick’s dad worked in a factory making plastic bottles. One day in the factory the truck took the bottles away to sell them to the supermarket. On the way to the supermarket the plastic bottle saw a lot of trees and flowers but it saw lots of rubbish, too. It also saw some plastic bottles on the road. It felt sad, scared and worried .Finally, the truck arrived at the supermarket and a man put the bottle on the shelf.

One day in the supermarket, Nick bought a bottle of water because he was going on a trip in the forest with his family and friends. While he was playing he dropped the bottle. The bottle felt lonely but then he saw there was a lot of other rubbish around it.

Some friends were walking in the forest and saw the bottle on the ground. They started playing football with the bottle. When they stopped playing, they looked around all the forest, they understood that they did something wrong .

So, they cleaned all the forest and they recycled all the bottles they found. Our little friend was safe again. In the recycling bin it found all his other friends from the factory again.

THE MAGIC OF RECYCLING
by the students of D1 3rd Primary School of Serres (Teacher: Vicky Dimadi)
One day, 5 friends, Ahanasios, Vasilis, Dimitris, Thrasos and Ioannis were looking for recycling bins to throw their plastic bottles.
Because they couldn’ t find the bins, they threw them away.

The plastic bottles were afraid that their lives were in danger and would end in disgrace.

They got upset and wanted to talk to them about recycling.

Suddenly, a tiny creature jumped out of the house and told the children that he was The recycling Wizard, who informs people about the benefits of recycling. He advised them to throw the plastics in the bin with the three arrows and generally, to throw away single-use products because something magical would happen.

He told them to stay with him to discover the magic of recycling. The children were eager to find out.
After a while, the recycling truck came
and took the trash out of the bin.
The truck transported it to the recycling factory. The wizard and the children followed the truck.
At the factory, the objects were sorted and cleaned.
Then they processed and transformed them into new materials. The children were astonished.

The trash was used to make objects like wheelchairs for people with mobility problems. So the children understood the importance of recycling.
