Dedication
This story is lovingly dedicated to all the people of serpong and alam sutera,
who continue to weave harmony between nature and progress
May the legend of Nyi Laras remind us that unity, kindess, and care for the environment are threads that never be broken

Long ago, in the area now known as serpong, there stretched a vast expanse of land surrounded by shady trees, swamps, and small rivers with crystal-clear water. The locals called the place Alam Benang Emas-the land of Golden Threads-because in the morning, sunlight reflecting on the dew and spider webs sparkled like silk threads.
According to the elders of the village, in the heart of the forest lived an old weaver named Nyi Laras. She was famous for her skill in making silk cloth so soft that it was said the threads came from golden cocoons that only grew on a giant banyan tree deep in the forest. Nyi Laras was not just an ordinary weaver; people believed she had the gift of ''weaving dreams'' into her cloth. Whoever possessed her woven fabric was said to gain a peaceful life and flowing fortune

One day, a group of migrants came from various regions. They were captivated by the beauty of the land and the kindness of Nyi Laras. The weaver then said
''if you wish to settle here, care for nature as you would care for silk-gently, patiently, and with love.''
The settlers then worked together to clear the swamps, plant trees, build pathways, and construct homes. Nyi Laras taught them the art of weaving-not only threads, but also unity and kinship. From this moment, the land became known as Alam Sutera-a symbol of nature as beautiful as silk and of life woven together

As time went on, the area grew into a bustling, modern place. Though now filled with buildings and wide roads, the legend of Nyi Laras still lives in the hearts of it's people. They believe that as long as humans maintain balance between progress and preservation, the silk thread of life in Alam Sutera will remain unbroken.
