Nandy was given a necklace by her grandmother for protection.

Nandy lived in a city

In December they travelled  to the  village for the holiday.

When they arrived, everyone was happy

Family members help with loads.

Nandy`s sister took her to play.

While playing Emily suggested they should go to the river and swim

On their way to the river, they met Stacy and Makazo who were from fetching water.

They convinced her to go back to the river and swim with them.

While swimming, Emily noticed Nandy's beautiful necklace and all her friends were mesmerised by its beauty.

Stacey wanted to touch the beautiful necklace and asked Nandy to take it off.

Nandy took off her necklace and handed it to Stacey.

While it was in Stacey's hands, Emily grabbed it and it accidentally slipped through her fingers and fell in the water.

Stacey began scolding Emily for her recklessness and lack of patience and Emily was trying to justify herself that nether noticed Nandy crying. 

When Nandy's crying got louder it caught their attention, and they stopped arguing.

Nandy was so worried that she had lost a neckless so precious to her and she feared her grandmother will not be happy.

They all looked for the lost necklace but could find it not.

The strong current of the river had swept it away into deeper waters.

As Nandy was searching for the necklace, a canoe imaged from a meander.

The man in the canoe was an old fisherman. He asked the girls why Nandy was crying.

Stacey explained to the fisherman what had occurred.

The experienced fisherman smiled, consoled Nandy and told her that sometimes what is lost comes back in unexpected ways.

Nandy and her friends went back to the village and told her grandmother about the lost necklace.

To her surprise, her grandmother was not angry that she had lost the necklace.
