Star: “Don’t be sad, Moon. Maybe a friend will find you.”

A little star with a smiling face comforting the Moon in the sky.

Narrator: One night, Moon spotted a small child looking up.
Moon: “Hello down there!”
Child: “Did the Moon just speak to me?”

A girl standing in her garden at night, surprised, pointing up at the Moon.

Child: “Hi, Moon! My name is Lila.”
Moon: “Lila… what a lovely name. Will you be my friend?”

Lila smiling warmly at the glowing Moon above her.

Lila: “Of course! But how will we play? You’re so far away.”
Moon: “I can shine brighter just for you!”

The Moon shining extra bright, beams reaching down to Lila’s garden.

Narrator: The Moon beamed, lighting up Lila’s whole garden.
Lila: “Wow! It’s like you made a playground of light.”
Moon: “And you made me smile.”

Mmmmh the moon just BEAMED!!

Narrator: The stars whispered with joy.
Star: “Hooray! The Moon has a friend!”
Moon: “I finally belong.”
