This is the first English and Turkish story book written by ÖMER SADAY, a 2nd-grade student at Özel Batıkent Acar Schools.

     Once upon a time, there was a cheerful boy named Ömer. Ömer was in the second grade. He loved his school and his teacher, Mrs. Ayşe.

One morning, Ömer got ready for school. He put his school bag on her back. 

But oh! The bag felt a little heavy.

Ömer was curious.
“I wonder what is inside my bag,” he said.

He opened his bag. Inside, there were notebooks, pencils… and a small, shining star!

Ömer was surprised.
“Who are you?” he asked.

The star spoke:
“I am a Magic Star. I am here to help you!”

Ömer was very excited. That day, they had a math lesson. Math was a little hard for Ömer.

The Magic Star whispered,
“Don’t worry. We can do it together.”

Ömer listened carefully to his teacher. He solved the questions one by one. The star only gave him courage. Ömer thought of the answers himself.

      During recess, Ömer skipped a rope with his friends. The star watched them from inside the bag.

On the way home, the star spoke again:
“The real magic is not me. The real magic is you. When you work hard, you can do anything!”

Ömer smiled. From that day on, he studied more and believed in himself.

      The next morning, when he opened her bag, the star was gone. But Ömer knew something very important:

The real magic was inside him all along..

Bir zamanlar Ömer adında neşeli bir kız vardı. Ömer 2. sınıfa gidiyordu. Okulunu ve öğretmeni Ayşe Öğretmen’i çok seviyordu.

Bir sabah Ömer okula gitmek için hazırlandı. Çantasını sırtına taktı. Ama o da ne? Çanta biraz ağırdı.

Ömer merak etti:
“Acaba çantamın içinde ne var?” dedi.

Çantasını açtı. İçinden defterler, kalemler… ve küçük, parlayan bir yıldız çıktı!

Ömer şaşırdı.
“Sen de kimsin?” diye sordu.

Yıldız konuştu:“Ben Sihirli Yıldızım. Sana yardım etmeye geldim!”

Ömer çok heyecanlandı. O gün matematik dersi vardı. Ömer biraz zorlanıyordu.

Sihirli Yıldız fısıldadı:
“Merak etme, birlikte başarabiliriz.”
