Rain pitter-pattered on the windows, making the world outside gray and soggy.
Griffin stomps “Ugh, we can’t go outside! What are we supposed to do now?”
Lux crossed her arms. “We could… I don’t know… something fun inside?”

Griffin frowned. “Inside is boring. I’ll be bored to death!”
Lux rolled her eyes. “You always say that! Maybe if you helped me, it wouldn’t be boring.”
“Help you?” Griffin asked suspiciously. “What are you planning?”

Home
Welcome

Lux grinned mischievously. “A fort. The greatest indoor fort ever.”
Griffin’s eyes lit up. “Fort? Now you’re talking!”
Soon, blankets, chairs, and pillows filled the living room.
“Watch out!” Lux shouted as Griffin tripped over a pillow. “That’s not part of the fort!”

The fort grew taller and taller, with tunnels, windows, and secret doors.
Griffin climbed on a chair. “I declare this the King’s Tower!”
Lux laughed. “Fine, King Griffin, but every king needs a clever queen.”
Griffin made a face. “I guess… if you promise not to boss me too much.”

Rain splashed harder on the windows. Thunder rumbled.
“Boo!” Griffin jumped, pretending to be scared.
“Very funny,” Lux giggled, tossing him a pillow. “Prepare to be attacked by the Pillow Monster!”
Soon they were laughing so hard pillows flew everywhere, and the fort collapsed into a cozy, giggling mess.

Panting from laughter, Lux said, “See? Rainy days aren’t boring if you get creative!”
Griffin nodded. “Yeah… okay, maybe inside isn’t so bad. Especially with you around.”
