
is for Albany
Albany is Goneril’s husband and one of Britain's dukes. At first, he seems weak and clueless about his wife’s cruelty, but later on he stands up for what’s right, and helps fight against the evil around him, though it’s too late to save everyone.

is for Blindness
Blindness, both real and symbolic, is a huge part of the play. Gloucester loses his eyes for being loyal, while Lear is “blind” to which daughters truly loved him. The men finally see the truth, only after they’ve both suffered.

is for Cordelia

Cordelia is Lear’s youngest and most honest daughter. She refuses to show fake love for him just to get land. Even after being banished, she stays loyal and comes back to help him when he needs her most.
is for Deception

Lies and fake love run throughout the play. Goneril and Regan pretend to adore Lear to get his kingdom, and Edmund tricks his father to steal his brother’s inheritance. All these lies lead to total chaos.
is for Edgar

Edgar is Gloucester’s good son. When Edmund frames him, he disguises him self by pretending to be a crazy beggar named Poor Tom. In the end, he survives and helps set things right.
is for fool

The Fool is Lear’s clown but also his truth-teller. all through in jokes and riddles, he says what no one else dares to, helping Lear face his mistakes and grow wiser.
is for Goneril

Goneril, Lear’s oldest daughter, is smart but heartless. She acts loving and affectionate to get power, then turns cruel once she has that power. She shows just how dangerous someone can be with power in their hands.
is for Honesty

Honesty is presented by Cordelia when she refuses to flatter her father falsely. Unlike her sisters, who show false love to gain favor and inheritance, Cordelia remains true to herself and her father.
is for Inheritance

Each daughter was meant to receive a share of King Lear’s inheritance. This was intended to secure loyalty and peace within the family yet it only tore them apart.
is for justice

Everyone in King Lear seeks justice, but it arrives too late. Throughout the play, Goneril, Regan, and Edmund obtain great power while the honest characters suffer. redemption does come at a point but ends tragically.
is for Kingdom

Lear’s decision to divide his kingdom ends up destroying it. What should have been a peaceful transition becomes a tragedy in the end.
is for Loyalty

Despite several characters in King Lear not showing loyalty, there are characters like Kent and Cordelia reaming loyal to Lear. Cordelia’s love for her father endures despite rejection and banishment, Kent risks punishment to protect the king and ensure his safety. Their selflessness shows great loyalty.
is for madness

Madness brings Lear to having a mental breakdown is one of the play’s most important parts. As he loses everything, he also starts to see life more clearly gaining wisdom through out his suffering.
is for Nature

Nature in this play is presented as emotions, the wild storm reflects Lear’s chaos, spiraling just like his life.
is for Obedience

Many characters choose to follow orders of King Lear without questioning what is right. Those who simply go along add to the chaos and suffering that goes on throughout the play.
is for Power

Power changes everything. Lear's daughters, Goneril's and Regan's hunger for power becomes a corrupting force that destroys both family and the kingdom.
