On a bright sunny day

While out in the park,

Bill was chasing a ball

Sally followed a lark

They slid on the slides

And swung on the swings

They flew on the flyers 

And rung on the rings

They sat down for lunch

They were ready to eat

A tall glass of punch

With a side of pig’s feet

When soon they did see

Lying there on the grass

 A book of changed items

 Pictures of now and of past

There were pictures of houses

Once old and now new

There were pictures of mouses

Once white and turned blue

There were pictures of people

Once short and now tall

There were pictures of giants

Once big and now small

“Changing would be nice”

Said Sally to Bill

While eating their pig’s feet 

On top of the hill

“My hair I would change

From yellow to green

And put in some lights

So I could always be seen”

“Or grow some big wings

And fly to the sky

Or see what’s behind me

With my brand new third eye”

“Sounds fun” Bill said

“I want a chance

I would grow myself big

And wear Daddy’s suit pants”

“Or I’d make my arms long

So I could reach the top shelf

Or shrink myself small

And be Santa’s best elf”

BOOM!! WHOOP!!
ZAP!! RING!!

They heard an old man

Who started to sing

“Come one and come all

Be you short or you tall

Be you thin as a rail

Or wide as a hall”

    “New changes await you      

No more need you groan

Just step right inside

My Zig Zagglephone”

“Zig Zaggle what?” they asked 

As they finished their lunch

Bill ate his last pig’s foot

Sally drank all her punch

“A Zig Zagglephone”

The old man then repeated

From high up on top

Where he now had been seated

“If change you do want

Then change you shall get

I’ve changed deserts to seas

I’ve turned dry into wet

“In fact I can change you

However you wish

I can change you

Into a dog, cat or fish”

“No! No! No!

We want to stay kids

We still want to slide

On the slides which we slid”

“However some change

To our hair would be neat

And give us some size 

Forty-Two feet”

“And give us four legs

And two heads and three eyes

And please make us big

And enormous in size”
