There are many water cycle processes and I will explain them in this book.

Runoff
Runoffs are water that flows off another surface like if ice melts on a mountain and flows down to another place. This affects the water cycle because runoffs help move water from one place to another. Runoffs can help animals because water that one animal needs can come from a runoff. Runoffs can move water to a body of water where that animal can drink it. Plants can use runoffs if they are close to the runoff meaning that they have easy access to water that they can use. Humans can use runoff water if they are near a mountain or waterfall by purifying the water and then using it to bathe with or drink.

Water moves from the lake to the ocean in this picture through a river. Some of the water from the mountain runoff fell into the lake.

The water is now moving farther through the ocean. Some of the water is getting stronger and faster than the rest, creating a few waves.
Evaporation

Evaporation is when water heats up so much that it turns into water vapor and this water vapor later condenses into clouds. Evaporation is important for living organisms and the water cycle because it helps create clouds, which are a major part in spreading water from one place to another and spreading water to living organisms. If one place has little water like a desert and another place has more water like an ocean or lake, then some of the oceans' or lakes’ own water can evaporate and condense into clouds. Those clouds can then move to the desert and bring water to the desert through precipitation. Humans can then store up this water, purify it, and then use it for tasks like bathing or drinking.
Condensation
Transpiration

Condensation is when water vapor cools down and turns back into a liquid, but instead of falling back to the surface it stays in the atmosphere where it starts to form a cloud of water particles. Condensation is important in the water cycle because it is the process that directly creates clouds which bring water from one place to another. Condensation helps living organisms because when precipitation starts with newly formed clouds created by condensation, water starts falling to the ground and plants can use their roots to pick up the water. Condensation is important to animals because of clouds too because precipitation water can fall into bodies of water where the animals can drink it. Finally, condensation can help humans. When clouds start releasing precipitation water, that water can be collected and purified and at that point can be used for bathing and drinking.
Transpiration is also a part of the water cycle. Transpiration is when plants start to release some of their water. This water evaporates into water vapor which could later condense into a cloud.
