This is Mars, the red planet.

It's known to have a big sandy, dusty, rocky surface.

It's also known to have no air, no water, and no life.

Before Mars lost air and water, there were aliens called "Martians" living all over the planet and this is what they look like.

Mars has a huge mountain called "Olympus Mons" and 2 moons: Phobos and Deimos.

Humans on Earth invented these robots called "Mars Rovers" to check the surface for proof of life, detect organic molecules, and take pictures of the surface. But what Earthlings didn't know was that...

There was a Martian collecting rocks, soil, and roaming the Martian surface his whole life. His name was Djiro (jeer-oh) and his robot's name was Z4N3 (Zane).

After a full day of roaming Mars, Djiro and Z4N3 go home in there garage on a Martian beach that used to have an ocean.

Djiro took off his breathing helmet and laid in bed, watching his favorite Earth movie, "The Prince of Egypt" (DreamWorks)[1998].

And then he went outside his house to get some fresh air (in his helmet of course because there's no air on Mars)[LOL], and to look at the beautiful sunset happening right now. But then...

...a huge dust storm came. So Djiro rushed to get inside his house.

He successfully made it home and now he goes to sleep.

The next day, Djiro and Z4N3 discover an ancient Martian city, letting them know that there used to be lots of Martians on the planet.

Then they find a frozen Martian aquifer on the Martian north pole and half of a big beautiful crystal called the Tharsine (thar-seen) and he collected it.

Then a spaceship immediately crashes on the surface.

Then out from the spaceship comes a female Martian. Her name was Sabonia (suh-boh-nyuh).

As he watched Sabonia fly around the city with her jetpack, he saw the girl of his dreams.

After a few days of following Sabonia everywhere she goes, Djiro and Sabonia finally introduce themselves.

The dust storm comes back and now they have to find shelter.

Once there inside Djiro's home, he shows Sabonia around but she wants to know how he's the last Martian on Mars.

So he showed her that after Mars lost its air and water, there were only 2 Martians that survived and they froze themselves for 5 billion years. When they unfroze, they had Djiro.

But his parents sadly died due to the same dust storm that keeps coming every week.

When Djiro showed Sabonia the first half of the Tharsine,...

...there was a teeny tiny tracking beacon on Sabonia that lifted her up slowly, electrocuted her...

...and knocked her out. Djiro tried waking her up but nothing worked. So for the past week, he's been taking care of her 24/7 (24 hours a day/7 days a week).

While Sabonia was laying in bed and still being knocked out, Djiro and Z4N3 did their usual hike on the Martian surface.

Djiro saw an unusual, big, scary spaceship coming from the sky and it was heading for his home so he rushed to see if Sabonia was okay.

When he got home, he saw that Sabonia wasn't there so he asked Z4N3 to stay in the garage while he goes to the spaceship to rescue Sabonia.

Djiro saw that Sabonia was still knocked out from that weird electrocution and that she was being abducted by unusual aliens.

So he snuck in the ship and waited for it to land so he can see where Sabonia is.

Then the spaceship left Mars and started heading for its next destination.

Then the spaceship went into hyperspeed.

What the spaceship went to was a planet far far away from Mars that orbits the star Betelgeuse (bee-tuhl-joos) and the planet was called Romulus (rah-myoo-luhs).

The surface of Romulus looks like the surface of Earth's moon. The surface was filled with toxic air.

Romulus had a covert the popped up from the inside of the planet.

Inside the covert, were 2 security Romulans and the leader of all the Romulans (aliens that live on Romulus). Her name was Zerma.

Zerma went over to the ship to inspect Sabonia and took the first half of the Tharsine for herself.

Then they found Djiro in the ship.

Under the surface of Romulus, there was a jail with lots of cells and that's where Djiro and Sabonia were being held. Sabonia was still knocked out from that electrocution back on Mars.

When Djiro took the tracking beacon off her back, Sabonia finally awoke. But they can't find the half Tharsine because Zerma had already taken it.

When they got out of the cell, they were caught by the SRs (security Romulans) and they were about to be shot at with big red laser guns.

So they jumped down a trash chute and ended up in a big, enormous layer of trash. But not only did they find trash.

They found other Martians too. Djiro had found out that the Martians didn't die when Mars lost air and water.

The Romulans took all the air and water away from Mars by sucking it all in their spaceship. And they took all the Martians to Romulus and threw them in the trash layer.

Djiro meets Sabonia's father, Olympio, the leader of the Martians.

When Olympio hears about the half Tharsine that Djiro found, he tells Djiro and Sabonia that Mars is cursed (loss of air and water) and that Zerma cursed Mars by stealing the Tharsine from the royal Martian castle and breaking it in half and that's how Mars lost its air and water and it got sucked into the Romulan spaceship.

But the only way to undo the Martian curse is to reunite the first half of the Tharsine with the other half (the other half is in a Martian spaceship that is being kept secretly in the layer above the trash and when the curse 1st occurred, the Martians tried to escape on that ship but ended up getting sucked into the Romulan ship).

So they just have to put the Tharsine back together and all the air and water should magically go back to Mars. But they have to put the Tharsine back together before the star Betelgeuse rises because if they don't break the curse by then, Mars and all the Martians will disappear forever and the Tharsine's power will fade.

When Olympio and Sabonia did makeover on Djiro to make him look like a Romulan, he found out that...

...the covert layer above the trash and under the surface was a lot bigger than he expected.

In order for Djiro to get the half Tharsine that Zerma has, he needed to blend in with the other Romulans.

He also had to march with the Romulan troops all the way to the TBOR (pronounced tuh-bohr but stands for "tallest building on Romulus"). The very top floor will lead to him getting back the first half of the Tharsine.

But before he could even make it in the TBOR, he got caught by the SRs.

But the SRs took him on a very high floor in the TBOR and he's running loose while the SRs are chasing and shooting at him.

He was having radio chats with Olympio and Sabonia while he was doing the mission but all of a sudden he couldn't talk to his friends anymore for some reason. He was trapped in a room with an open window.

So he ended up climbing on the outside of the TBOR until the SRs went away.

When the SRs were gone, Djiro jumped down another trash chute in the TBOR and when he got to the trash layer, he saw that Olympio and Sabonia were gone.

So he looked on the computer and saw that Olympio was taken to the surface of Romulus and the Romulans took him there so he could disintegrate when Betelgeuse rises.

    Then Djiro was looking to see where Sabonia was when he found an extraordinary blue bag with an inscription that reads "Private. Keep Out. No Martians or Romulans Allowed."

    When he opens the bag, he finds something mysterious.

It's a picture with Sabonia and her parents. Djiro realizes that he didn't see her mother when he first came to the trash layer. So he wonders if the Romulans did the same thing that's happening to Olympio to Sabonia's mother and that's why Sabonia escaped from Romulus.

So he looked on the computer and found out that the SRs were taking Sabonia to get shot by laser guns.

In the covert layer, above the trash and under the surface, Zerma ordered some Romulans to shoot at Sabonia.

Zerma still had the half Tharsine in her hands. But when the time was right,...

...Djiro swooped in like a vulture, kicked the shooters and Zerma in the face, kicked the half Tharsine out of Zerma's hands and rescued Sabonia.

And now that Sabonia caught the half Tharsine when Djiro kicked it out of Zerma's hands, they have completed the first part of the mission. The only things they had to do left were: find the Martian spaceship, reunite the Tharsine, get all the other Martians on the spaceship, and save Olympio because he's stuck on the surface of Romulus to get burnt by the rays of Betelgeuse.

But there was just one problem. They were surrounded by SRs and Zerma who was super duper ooper schmooper angry.

So Djiro decided to give up and turn himself and Sabonia in...

...but ended up hoodwinking (tricking) them, stealing one of the laser guns, and shooting their way through the floor...

...and back into the trash layer.

Then they saw that the other Martians were dancing in excitement for some reason.

That was until the SRs swooped in like vultures and started attacking the Martians.

Djiro and Sabonia were running as fast as they could. So they went into a big tunnel...

...and had nowhere else to run and nothing else to do except...

...fall off the cliff and fall in to a big river.

So they ended up being sucked into the river like they were being flushed down a toilet until...

...they ended up in a layer under the trash full of water and mushrooms.

Djiro and Sabonia realized that this is where the Romulans have been keeping all the Martian air and water for all these years.

The good news was that Djiro and Sabonia had the half Tharsine. the bad news was that Mars, the other Martians and Olympio (who was still left on the Romulan surface) have less then 3 hours before Betelgeuse rises.

Djiro wanted to finish the mission of breaking the Martian curse and saving Olympio but Sabonia didn't want to do that because the Romulans were much dangerous than she thought.

So he finally asked Sabonia about the family photo and how she got to Mars.

She said that as a child, her mother believed that one day the Martian curse would be broken, all the Martians would go back to Mars, and that baby Martians would grow big and strong and healthy and that's why the SRs took her away from her family. But there's more to Sabonia's backstory than just that.

When Sabonia was a little girl, she woke up and saw to SRs take her mother away from her family in the middle of the night.

20 Mars Years ago

Sabonia followed them, snuck into the elevator of the TBOR, but she couldn't find her mother.

When she reaches the surface, she finds out that the SRs are leaving her mother on the Romulan surface to get burnt by Betelgeuse when it rises.

So she grabbed 2 breathing helmets and she went to go get her mother.

But she had to hurry because Betelgeuse was rising any second now.

But when Betelgeuse rose and aimed its ray at Sabonia's mother,...

...POOF! She was gone. Sabonia was so sad that she'd never see her mother again and she'd never be able to tell her that she loved her back.

She knew how dangerous Romulus was and she didn't wanna stay there anymore.

So she stole a spaceship and left Romulus. She wanted to take the other Martians with her too but there wasn't enough room.

Even though she was on that ship by herself, she had all the food, drink, and stuff that she needed to survive.

So for the past 20 years, she grew up (literally) on the spaceship while it was heading for Mars

20 Mars Years Later

And that's how she came to Mars and met Djiro.

So they both had tragic backstories with their parents.

Present Day

But they decided to move past that and finish the mission of breaking the Martian curse, rescuing Olympio and bringing all the Martians back home.

Back inside the covert layer above the trash and under the surface, Djiro and Sabonia had originally planned on going to the TBOR to get all the way to the surface.

But they couldn't get to the TBOR because it was surrounded by SRs.

So they decide to turn themselves in again.

But then something interesting happened.

Sabonia knocked the 2 SRs out with tranquilizing guns.

And Djiro shut down the surveillance cameras and decided to sneak through the Romulan prison and get to where the Martian spaceship is and that's how they'll get to the Romulan surface.

When they get to the prison, they find something mysterious. They find out that those purple things are Martian eggs that the female Martians laid. While the Romulans were chasing and shooting at the Martians in trash, they stole all the eggs and put them in prison. The other Martians knew they were gonna have children and that's why they were dancing in the trash right before Djiro and Sabonia fell in that purple layer. So they decided to get all eggs out and take them back to Mars with them.

After freeing and gathering the eggs, Djiro and Sabonia transmitted to the other Martians by giving them a speech, telling them about breaking the Martian curse, and leading them to the Martian spaceship where the other half of the Tharsine is.

The Martians finally found the Martian spaceship. The other half of the Tharsine was contained in there and that ship was their ticket out of Romulus and back to Mars.

So Djiro and Sabonia opened the airlock and everyone put on their helmets

While Sabonia went to the surface to save Olympio from being destroyed by a ray of Betelgeuse,...

...Djiro was in the Martian spaceship putting the Tharsine back together again...
