When the Beasts Needed Us

Once upon a time, in a world much like ours, animals of every shape and size lived all around us.
One day, the beasts whispered: they needed help.
Because when people forgot they aren't alone on this planet, the beasts grew smaller in number and their homes began to shrink.
Children and grown-ups began to listen. They said: “We will help you.”

Meet Billy the Bear - strong and gentle, with paws used to hunt prey.
Billy used to roam in the forests with his cubs and bear friends until his land suddenly started to vanish. Trees went down and fences rose, leaving Billy with no home.
One girl named Anna decided to learn about Benny. She read old stories the bears, and visited rangers who showed her safe places for bison.
Together, Maya and the rangers made a protected forest for Benny and his friends to live once more.

Anna & Billy the Bear

Anna & Emma the Eagle
High above the lakes lived Emma the Eagle. With sharp-eyes and beautiful feathers Emma would soar and nest. Soon enough Emmas home was in trouble. There were no more trees and the lake began to get more and more dirty.
Some children drew pictures of Emma, and people planted trees, cleaned the rivers, and kept the skies clean and open.
Slowly, Emma found her nest again. With a loud cry, she soared and said: “Thank you.”

Thank You!

Anna & Ryan the Rhino
In a faraway land, deep in place of blazing sun and wild grasses, lived Ryan the Rhino. With his gray tough-skinned appearance, Ryan was ancient as the hills that he once roamed freely in. But his home was under attack, poachers who wanted him for his tusks and builders who wanted to take his land.
Anna heard Ryans story and traveled to the Rhino’s territory. She was able to build fences that didn’t block his path, created water holes, and told the world his story.
Ryan the Rhino walked again freely. He knew, not just one hero, but many helpers make the difference.
And the forest whispered. The ocean whispered. The desert and the mountain whispered. “We love you,” they said to the children and adults who listened.
Because care isn’t just about one beast, it’s about the whole world, all creatures, big and small, plants, streams, insects, and people.
Every time someone picks up trash, plants a tree, protects a stream, or watches an animal with respect. They are helping and protecting the beloved beasts.

Anna & the Animals

So now it’s your turn.
Look around and see what beloved beast do you know? Maybe a bird in your backyard, a frog in a pond, a deer in the forest, or a little bug under a leaf.
What can you do today to help? Draw a sign, plant something, keep water clean, don't litter , and speak kindly.
Because when we care, when we listen, the world grows kinder.
And the beasts—our friends—grow stronger.
