During the spring, a baby bear named Billie was born in a cozy cave.
Mama Bear cuddled him close and fed him sweet honey.
Billie learned that the world could be safe and full of love.
As the snow began to melt, Billie wanted to explore.
He began to walk and climb all by himself.
Billie would sometimes wobble and fall, but Mama Bear would always be right behind him saying, "Its okay Billie, get back up!"
Billie learned that making mistakes is part of growing up.

Billie grew bigger and braver. Billie loved to play with his forest friends. He began games of hide-n-seek and tag. Sometimes things didn't always go the way he planned but he would always have fun. Billie learned that it is good to take the lead and that things may not always go his way.
Summer came and Billie started "Forest School." The old wise owl taught them how to read tracks, Beavers taught them how to build and Foxes taught them teamwork. When Billie built his first dam with no leaks, he beamed with pride! Billie learned that effort and practice will help you succeed.
As the forest began to change colors, Billie began to wonder who he really was. Was he supposed to build dams like Beavers? After many adventures, Billie realized he didn't have to copy anyone else. He just had to be himself. He was the brave, caring, curious Billie the Bear.
The trees in the forest began to change yellow, orange and red. By the river one day, Billie met Bella the Bear. They fished, laughed and frolicked together by the river. Billie learned that love meant caring, helping and growing with each other, even during hard times.

Billie and Bella built a cozy den for their cubs. Together they taught them to be kind to one another and to take care of the forest. When the cubs helped an injured rabbit, Billie's heart was filled with joy. Billie was able to teach his cubs that caring for others makes life meaningful.
