the first school presents the problem, and the second school creates the solution.

Dear friends from Antheia Kindergarten, we have a problem and we need your help. At a school called “Rainbow School” there is a girl named Irene.
She is kind, cheerful, she draws and sings beautifully, and she loves fruit—especially oranges. Irene uses a wheelchair because she cannot walk.
One day, Irene’s class decided to draw something about children’s rights.
Irene said to her classmates: “I want us to draw a problem we have in our playground. I can’t reach the corner with the toys.” Her classmates agreed with her.
So they made a big drawing showing Irene in her wheelchair, in front of a path with stones and a fallen tree. On top of the drawing, they wrote: “We all want to play together!”
P.S. Can you find a solution to Irene’s problem?

School name: Kindergarten of Anthia Alexandra Bamidou
Dear children and colleague of the 23rd Kindergarten of Alexandroupoli,
It was with great joy and emotion that we received your letter! Irene's story touched us deeply, and immediately, all the children of the Anthia Kindergarten became a big action team to find solutions.
On the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we discussed in our class how every child has the right to play freely and safely. We realized that obstacles, like the stones that make it difficult for Irene's wheelchair, are everyone's responsibility to remove.
Our little "engineers" and "helpers" got straight to work! Along with this letter, we are sending you our drawings, where you will see our ideas:
First of all, we decided that we can help too! We drew the children picking up the stones with their own hands and carrying them carefully to the side so the path can be cleared.
But because there are many stones, we used our imagination and recruited "heavy machinery": we filled our papers with bulldozers, trucks, tractors, and big platforms that take on the task of clearing the yard for Irene!
We hope our suggestions help make your yard a big, open embrace for Irene and your whole group of friends. We look forward to hearing from you!
With much love and friendly greetings,
The children and the teacher of Anthia Kindergar

At the "Rainbow School'" everyone is happy. Every color of the rainbow has a meaning. It reminds the children that We are all different but that does not prevent us from living harmoniously together, being friends and respecting each other.
They are all a team, caring and helping each other.
Today, Irene came to school late and angry because someone had parked on the disabled ramp and could not get out of her house. This happens often and it makes her angry.
What can she do about it?
All the Rainbow children are looking
for a solution.....

Our students were very andry with the driver's unacceptable behavior. They discussed and they decided to put the appropriate sign outside Irene's house,to paint yellow the crossing lines and to place a sign that says : "Beware of wheelchairs". Also, if Irene has the same problem again, they will go there
and stop the driver to park and will
explain what has to do,
so Irene can go everywhere
any time she wants to move.

In the “Rainbow School” where Irene goes, the teacher announces that there will be a theatrical performance. All the children are excited. The teacher hands out the roles and Irene takes on the role of the narrator. However, when the rehearsals begin, there is a problem. The stage is elevated. It has three steps but no ramp. Irene is sad because she cannot get up on the stage.

One morning a new child came to our class. He was calm, smiling and held a thin white cane in his hand. His name was Antonis and he had a peculiarity: he could not see the world around him.
Antonis listened carefully to every sound to understand where he was. He had difficulty understanding where the furniture was or where the carpet ended. Sometimes he got confused in the space. He could not see and so he could not get to know the children. He could not see pictures or drawings. When they played with his ball, it took him a long time to find it.
He was truly a friend who did not see with his eyes,
but with his heart. The children wondered how they could help him
adapt more easily to the class

School name:Aimilia Katraki,51st Kindergarten of Heraklion,Greece
The children decided to help Antonis by telling him where things are in the classroom and keeping the furniture in the same place. They said they would describe their drawings to him, hold his hand when he needed help, and speak clearly. They also chose to play games with sounds so he could join, and they put a little bell on the ball to help him find it easily. Everyone wanted Antonis to feel happy and included. From that day on, the children worked together to help Antonis every day. They learned to listen, to share, and to care for one another. And Antonis felt happy, because now he had friends who
loved him and made him feel safe.Their classroom
became a place where everyone belonged and everyone
could shine!!

One day at school, we had a birthday party.
All the children were very happy, and Raphael, one of our classmates, was excited too.
However, the loud music and noise made him feel uncomfortable.
The other children were full of energy, running around, playing with balloons, and laughing loudly, which made the class even more overwhelming.
Raphael was on the autism spectrum, so noisy and crowded spaces were difficult for him.
What can we do next time to make sure he can enjoy the party too?

School name:26th Kindergarten of Volos - Greece - Ritsa Simou

In our school we have a very special friend!Friend named Elpida.Elpida is like us,she loves to play, laugh and learn new things. But Elpita has a special way of seeing and hearing the world She cannot see with her eyes and she cannot hear with her ears. This is called being deaf-bling.When Elpita is at school ,the classroom is guiet and dark for her.Learning is by touch!
How does she read a story or play a game;
What can we do to help her;

School name: Maria Aggeliki Petropoulou - 1rst kindergarten of Gargalianoi/Greece
Because we love Elpida very much and we want always see her smiling, we all decided together to make her life easy in our classroom. Surely, there will always be someone to help her find her chair safely or to "see" the flowers in our garden with her hands! We asked our teacher to buy special books with braille writing so that Elpida's hands can read by touching the book. It's so nice when Elpida's hands read us fairy tales! Because he can't play ball or hide-and-seek or chase, games that are easy for those who can see and hear, we thought and searched through our classroom toys to find the right ones for her. And we found them! She can play with our plastic animals, she can build with our wooden blocks. We will be there as helpers to teach her hands how to make her happy while playing! But, we will help her take part in the running in our yard. One of us each time, will "tie" his hand with Elpida's hand and they will run together!
Elpida, we will definitely make you feel comfortable and beautiful in our class! You are a member of our group!

Leo uses his electric wheelchair everyday. Every afternoon, his gaze is drawn to the playground, a hub of motion and laughter. He is 6 years old, with bright eyes, but his legs are still. The wheelchair, gives him freedom on the streets but it seems to be a barrier at the park. He watches the other kids daily: they are having fun or fights, but they are all happy playing in their own way. Leo knows every part of the playground, except how it feels to be in it. Today he made the realization: "I will never feel that kind of joy, playing inside the Park, independent!". Tears came to his face, as he was just observing...
Could you give him a solution?
School name: 1st Kindergarten of Gargalianoi-Stavroula Katsantoni
What Leo feels is heartbreaking. Τhe thought that "I'll never feel that joy" doesn't have to be his reality. There are solutions that can give him access to the play and joy he sees every day. Τhe children suggest playing chase, rackets, basketball, hide-and-seek with him, adapting their games. They suggest that he dance with them, and they even share their persoran toys with him.

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Argyro. She was a happy and social girl, full of curiosity about everything around her. She was a very special girl who lived with a disability. Argyro could not walk and used a wheelchair. But her imagination could travel anywhere her wheels could not!!! One afternoon, her parents took her to the neighborhood park. When they arrived, she saw many of her classmates from school. At first, Argyro rolled forward with great enthusiasm. But as she looked closer, she started feeling sad. The other children were playing ball, racing down the slide, swinging high toward the clouds, and enjoying all the wonderful games in the park. Argyro sat in a corner, watching. She wanted to join them. She wanted to laugh with them. But her wheelchair made it impossible to play the same games. She cried quietly, feeling alone in a place full of joy.
What do you think we could do so that Argyro feels happy again and equal to her friends? How could the park become a place where every child plays, not the same way, but together?

School name: 5th Kindergarten of Kalamata, Greece - Foteini Vanikioti
Argyro watched them and really wanted to play with them. She gathered her courage and approached them.
Hello, everyone! Can I play with you too?"
The children stopped immediately.
"Of course!" they shouted in one voice. But how would they play football?
One boy from the children Constantine sprang forward with a fantastic idea.
"We won't play football, we'll play WHEELCHAIR HANDBALL! I will be your legs! I will quickly drive your wheelchair towards the goal, and you will hold the ball in your hands!"
And so it happened! Constantine pushed the wheelchair, running like the wind. Argyro held the ball tightly and laughed loudly. "Goal!" they all shouted together. No one cared who won, only that they were all playing together. The joy was endless!
When they got tired of running, they went to the playground. All the children helped Argyro get onto the swing. They pushed her high into the air, and she felt like she was flying!
Next, they got on the seesaw. Constantine and Argyro on
one side, and their other friends on the other.
Up and down, up and down,
the fun never ended

The Story of Nicolas – And the Toilet for Everyone
Nicolas was a happy little boy who went to kindergarten every day in his wheelchair.
He loved painting, doing puzzles, and laughing with his friends.
One day, during break time, Nicolas asked to go to the toilet.
His teacher took him there… but the door was too narrow and his wheelchair couldn’t fit.
“Oh… I can’t get in,” Nicolas said sadly.
The children and the teacher felt very upset. They all sat together in a circle to talk.
“We need a toilet that all our friends can use,” the children said.
Then they had a wonderful idea!
