Once upon a time long ago, there lived a little bunny named Shirley. Shirley loved clovers. She spent her days eating them and snacking on them and so happy to be in her field. One morning, when she woke up all the clovers where gone! Shirley wondered what had happened to all of them. Had she eaten them up? Or did something take them? She was so sad because her wonderful clovers had disappeared. After a few minutes of thinking, she decided to go on a mission to find more! 

After some hopping, she finally arrived at the deep dark woods. Shirley was a little nervous of what could happen to her if she went on a journey away from her home, her field.  For a few moments she thought about it and eventually agreed to go in because of how hungry she was. She quietly hopped into the woods. Until "WHHOOOOSH" went the wind. She got scared and thought that it was a ghost. Her hairs pricked up as she ran through the woods.   

Once Shirley got deeper in the woods, she felt the wind against her fur. She thought that something was close to her, so she got ready to fight. She jumped high and squeaked as loud as she could, but nothing seemed to be behind her. Shirley paused and wondered where that sound had come from. Had it just been her ears? Or herself? Shirley had to be brave and find out what that sound was! Once more she began to hop. 

  All of the sudden, Shirley ended up seeing a farm with loads of clovers! She was overjoyed. Not only were there clovers, but a beautiful garden full of fresh vegetables to eat. She slowly made her way over to the farm noticing the other animals watching her hop along. Shirley could smell the delicious scent of the carrots and lettuce. She decided to sneak under the fence to get a nibble.  

       Unfortunately, the farmer was also checking on his delicious lettuce and carrots until he saw Shirley in the garden. He yelled "GET OUT OF MY GARDEN YOU PEST!" She got terrified and started to run as fast as she could. She finally got to the woods but now she was too tired to do anything. After a few minutes she fell fast asleep on a rock. 

After a long nap she woke up and she couldn't believe what was coming down. A hawk! A mean, scary, evil hawk!  You may think she was going to be eaten, but no, the weird animal seemed as if she were nice. Shirley was surprised by her presence and realized what had been watching her in the woods before. As she landed next to Shirley she said, "Well hello there darling!" my name is Ruth. Shirley was confused she couldn't believe that Ruth was nice.  Or so she thought.     

At that moment Shirley just went along with Ruth.  She asked Shirley where she was headed off to. Of course, she said that she was going to the clover field. The hawk told Shirley that she could take her there and she knew a place were there were endless clovers. Shirley didn't know how evil Ruth was, so she said yes. Until the hawk snatched Shirley up in the sky!   

In seconds Shirley was in the sky high up from the ground! She was so scared she thought that she would die. The scary creature told her not to worry because she was bringing her to the clover field. Shirley couldn't believe her; she knew that Ruth was lying! Shirley tried to get out of her claws, but nothing worked. "Don't worry dear I won't hurt you. Plus, why would I? I would never." mean Ruth told Shirley unconvincingly.  

After a little bit more of flying, the hawk got distracted with how delicious Shirley looked and she crashed right into a tree! Ruth lost grip of Shirley, and the poor rabbit started to fall. The mean hawk got scared and flew away.  Poor Shirley was on the ground hurt with no help. All of the sudden she passed out and she didn't wake up for a long time. A little after that the hawk arrived at her nest and felt very embarrassed.
