There was once a very poor family named the Jacobs family. Jorge and Selina were the proud parents of 11-year-old Sydney. The family rented a 

Small house, and they had next to no possessions. Thankfully, Jorge and Selina worked very hard, and the family always had enough to eat and drink. But the problem was, their rent had recently been raised, and they were struggling to pay it. Sydney heard her parents talking in worried voices when she was supposed to be asleep.

One night, as Sydney was listening to her parents, she decided that she had to do something to help. She secretly formed a plan to sneak out of the house and sell flower bouquets the next night. 

Finally, it was the night of Sydney’s plan. She snuck out at 5 in the morning, and took her flowers with her. She had set aside 2 hours to sell flowers. She just hoped that people who were up this early were interested in flower bouquets!

Sydney stopped on the side of the road. By that time, it was 5:12 am. She waited for a few minutes, but nobody stopped. She began to think that her flower sale was a bust. Then, as she was thinking of packing up and leaving, a woman in a light blue pickup truck pulled over, and bought two small plants for a total of $20. Sydney was overjoyed!

Sydney sold so many flowers after that! Many people bought multiple plants! Then, at about 6:45, Sydney was thinking of packing up and heading home with her last four plants, a lady in a red sports car pulled up. “Hi, I’m Eliana.” The lady said. “I’d like to buy these plants, but I want to know why you’re selling them. So Sydney started to tell the Eliana why 

She was selling plants. “I’m selling these plants because my family is poor, and we are struggling to pay our rents each month.” 

Eliana smiled, and said, “that’s a mighty fine reason, miss. I’ll buy all of your plants, and I would like to suggest a place that you should go to if you are struggling with money. It’s called ‘ye olde barnyard’
