I dedicate this book to Mrs sall & to Jane Austen, an inspiring author.

'One day you girls will marry a wonderful man!'
'I am perfectly happy by myself!'
Once there was a big, beautiful town. In this town lived the Bennett family!
There were five sisters and their extremely cheerful mother, Mrs. Bennett.
“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.” ( Austen, 8 )
She was always excited because she hoped each girl would marry a wonderful man one day!
But Elizabeth, the second oldest sister, liked being alone and herself most of all.

*DANCING!*

I hope my daughters find a rich man here!
Hmmm...
One morning, Mrs. Bennett had very good news...
Two very rich and handsome men had moved into the village!
The town decided to have a big dance for the new men, so everyone dressed up in their best dresses.
Jane, the oldest sister, danced with one of the men, friendly Mr. Bingley almost the whole night!
But… Mr. Darcy, the other handsome man, did not dance with anyone. Elizabeth thought he looked rude.
“Elizabeth remained with no very cordial feelings toward him.” ( Austen, 16 )
Hmmm...

"Darcy, why don't you dance with Elizabeth?"
"No. She is not pretty enough!"

How rude...
At the dance, Darcy makes a rude statement about Elizabeth!
She hears what he says about her and decides she does not like him.
She then laughed with her friends about how proud he seemed.
“She is tolerable; but not handsome enough to tempt me.” ( Austen, 16 )

Oh no...
Jane arrives to Mr. Bingley's feeling unwell....
After the dance Jane goes to visit Mr Bingley.. but she got very sick in the rain!
Elizabeth heard what happened and felt terribly sad.
So... She bravely walked all the way through the mud just to take care of her.
Everyone was surprised to see she’d gotten her dress and shoes messy, but she did not care because she loved her sister and wanted to take care of her.
“Her hair, so untidy, so blowsy!” ( Austen, 26 )

Maybe she's not too bad...
They all talk together about Jane.
While Bingley and Elizabeth watched and took care of Jane, Darcy kept watching Elizabeth.
“Darcy had never been so bewitched by any woman as he was by her.” (Austen, 34)
He liked how kind and smart she was.. But he just wasn’t good at showing his feelings and could not admit it.

No!!
Elizabeth, please marry me!!!
Jane and Bingley leave the room.
Suddenly, a silly cousin named Mr. Collins visited. He talked and talked.. And talked….
Then, he asked Elizabeth to marry him! Elizabeth quickly told him, “Absolutely not!!”
She then quickly went on home because Jane was ready to go!
“You could not make me happy, and I am convinced I am the last woman in the world who would make you so.” ( Austen, 73 )
*Tells lies about Darcy*

Oh no he's a bad guy!

Then, a charming man named Mr. Wickham arrived to the town.
Elizabeth liked him right away.. But then he told stories about Darcy.
These fake, made up stories made Darcy sound terrible.
And Elizabeth believed every word.
“I wonder that the very pride of this Mr. Darcy has not made him just to you.” ( Austen, 78 )
