Chapter 1 Puppy Joy

    Junior's mom watched him as he toured the pet store. He stopped at the puppy cage. A cute little black and white puppy came running up to where Junior was standing.

    "Could I hold him, Mom? Please?"

    "Sure."

    She called for the clerk, who put the puppy in Junior's arms. The puppy licked his face and barked cheerfully.

    They decided to take the puppy home because Junior had such a great bond with it. He played with the puppy, bought it toys, and took him for a walk every day. 

    Junior decided to name him Rocky. He bought a shiny red collar for him. He also bought him a chewy bone to play with.

    Rocky loved his toys, especially his chewy bone.

    Junior spent time several days decorating a room just for Rocky. He went back and forth between shops looking for the perfect bed.

    It took him a while, but it was all worth it. He found a nice bed soft bed with a thick pillow. Rocky loved his new bed.

    He showed Rocky his new room and he was so excited, that he jumped into his arms and barked cheerfully.

   Every day, Junior bounced out of bed, excited about playing with his new puppy. Since it was summer, he could play with him as much as he pleased.

Chapter 2 Missing!

    One day Junior woke up delighted to play with Rocky. He pranced  into Rocky's room.

    "Rocky...here, boy," he called out, but this time Rocky did not answer. He called again and again. Still, no Rocky.

    Junior frantically dashed down to his mom.

    "Mom!! Rocky is missing! I can't find him!!"

"I'm sure he's here somewhere," his mom reassured him. They went to Rocky's As they searched, they found the window open.

 "Oh no! He's gone! We have to find him, mom!"

"I know, Junior. We will find him."

    Junior rushed outside and began scurrying around looking for Rocky. He looked around the window outside of Rocky's room. No Rocky.

    Junior searched all over town, but couldn't find Rocky. Junior was very sad. 

     "Mom, what are we going to do?"

    "We can put up posters around town, and we can ask our neighbors to help us find him."

    "Ok," Junior said. He immediately went to his room and began to make posters to put around the town. When they finished, they walked throughout the town, talking to everyone and placing posters on the windows and doors of the stores.

    Junior searched everywhere, but he could not find Rocky. Suddenly, he trips over something.

Chapter 3 Clues

    "Hey, look! It's Rocky's collar! Here's his name," Junior exclaimed. He's got to be here somewhere."

    Junior runs around asking anyone he sees if they had seen a black and white dog running around with this collar on. Unfortunately, they had no idea what he was talking about.

    "Aww," he mumbled.

    He decided to go to the shop where he bought the Rocky.

    "Excuse me!" Junior yells out.
