Once upon a time in a village of poor people (people with not a lot of money),...
Minnesota, USA, October 29, 1995

...a teenager named Billy Richardson and his mom were walking to a village called...

...Moonville.

They went into a music store and saw a beautiful piano but it was $50. It was too much money and Billy really wanted to get that piano for his mom. 2 years ago after his dad died, his mom sold an old piano that she used to play.

But then they came across a gang of very rich people called "The Richies". They were jerks to everybody they saw (including poor people).

After that incident, Billy and his mom started walking home.

The next day was October 30th, the day before Halloween.

Billy's grandma came over to let him and his mom know that their house will be taken away and turned into a country club (a place where rich people hang out) on November 1st.

Billy went out walking with his best friend, Sammy Abrams. Sammy told Billy about the first annual Halloween talent contest in Moonville. And the winner of the contest will receive a grand prize of $50 million.

Their girlfriends, Cathy Clark (the girl with the seafoam green hair and Billy's girlfriend), and Julie Benson (the girl with the pink jacket and pink pants and Sammy's girlfriend) came over and shared their idea of forming a rock band for the contest.

Cathy would be the keytarist (a keytar is an electric piano with a guitar strap and shaped like a guitar), Julie would be the bassist, Sammy would be the drummer, and Billy would be the guitarist.
But after hearing that Billy can play on his dad's guitar, he didn't wanna be in the band because he's never asked his mom if he can play his dad's guitar and he's too afraid to even touch his dad's guitar.

Billy's grandma told his mom about the contest and the prize money too.

Mom wanted to enter the contest and show off her singing voice so she can win that money and save the house. But the problem was in order to look like a professional singer, she had to wear a big fancy dress that she doesn't know how to make. So she decided not to enter the contest either.

When Billy got home from walking with his friends, he and his mom jumped on a fun, white, trampoline that his dad built 3 years before he died.

Then they remembered his dad's favorite song, "Separate Ways" by a rock band called Journey. So they both sang it together to honor the dead father.

It was Halloween and Billy didn't know what to do...

...except take his dad's guitar...

...and use it to rehearse the song "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden (a British heavy metal band that formed in 1975). (Not only was he gonna win the $50 million to save his house but to also buy that lovely piano for his mom)

While Billy was rehearsing with his band, his mom went over to his grandma's house to make a dress to look good for the contest.

Then the Richies came and harassed Billy and his friends.

But they ignored the Richies and carried on with their act in the contest on Halloween night.

The mayor of Moonville was the judge of the contest and the introducer of the acts.

He introduced many other acts but the next one he introduced was a banjo player playing "Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden.

30 Minutes Later

"Run to the Hills" by Iron Maiden? But that was Billy and his band's song. They didn't wanna sing it after the guy with the banjo was singing it because the audience was gonna think they were copying from him.
