NASA has found 8 landing sites for the rocket landings on the moon near the south pole.

Also, they are partnering with companies to develop spacesuits, rockets, and rovers to help make a settlement on the moon. NASA has developed a pressurized rover.

The pressurized rover will greatly expand our ability to explore, conduct science research, live, and work on the lunar surface by providing a home for astronauts away from the base camp for extended periods of time. They have also developed a Lunar Terrain Vehicle to get around quickly.
