Centuries ago, the River Forth was wild and restless. Its waves were so strong that no one dared to cross. One day, the spirit of the river called upon two brothers.

The elder brother put on his red steel armor and carried railway tracks on his shoulders. The younger brother stretched his wind-dancing cables and began carrying cars across the water.Together, they calmed the river. People passing by on the ferry would whisper,
“One carries the past, the other carries the future.”

In 1913, the railway bridges of Waldheim, Germany, were said to whisper to each other at night. Children believed that the echoing sounds beneath the bridge when a train passed were actually the heartbeat of the bridge.

According to legend, the bridge kept one wish from every train that crossed it. If a child closed their eyes and made a dream while a train was passing, the iron bridge would carry that dream to distant cities and one day turn it into reality.
