Chapter 1: The crash
He looked at his supplies. He had a water bottle, a small net, and a bright yellow life jacket. He was in the Pacific Ocean. It is the biggest ocean in the world. It is so big that you could sail for weeks and never see a single piece of land.

Chapter 2: The Floating Plants

Chapter 2: The Floating Plants
Elias reached out and pulled some of the seaweed onto his raft. It felt slimy and cold. He looked closely and saw tiny shrimp hiding in the leaves. They were the same color as the brown plant. This is called camouflage. It helps them hide from hungry fish.

Chapter 3: The Hungry Visitors
The seaweed brought more than just shrimp. It brought a whole world of animals.
Underneath his raft, Elias saw a flash of bright green and gold. It was a Mahi-mahi. These fish are very fast and beautiful. They followed the raft because it gave them shade from the hot sun.

Chapter 3: The Hungry Visitors
Then, he saw a shadow. It was much bigger. A Shark was circling. Its skin was rough like sandpaper. This shark is a "predator," which means it hunts other animals for food. Elias kept his hands and feet inside the raft. He knew that in the ocean, you have to be very careful.
