The European Bison
The European bison is the biggest land animal in Europe. It is also called the wisent. It lives in forests and eats grass, leaves, and plants.
A long time ago, many bison lived in Europe, including in Romania. But because of hunting and losing their forests, the bison almost disappeared.
Today, romanian people are trying to protect this animal and help it live safely in nature again. The European bison is very important for forests and for our planet.
