Introduction 

The Western burrowing owl is a small, long-legged raptor, and you can find it in dry areas.

                               Habitat

 The  Western Burrowing Owl lives in deserts, grasslands, and central parts of California.

                                     Food

The Western Burrowing Owl  eats mostly insects and small mammals. They also eat grasshoppers, beetles, crickets,  moths, caterpillars, and scorpions.

                            Adaptations

 Western Burrowing owls adapt to climate change by shifting their ranges northward, utilizing artificial  burrows and displaying high  CO2 tolerance in underground nests.
