1 Vercua Salt
Vercua Salt is that girl you see. She HATED Charlie Bucket and Mr Willy Wonka’s Factory, and especially Charlie winning the factory.
Charlie was in the factory snoozing on marshmallow pillows and chocolate blankets, with his parents Mr Bucket and Mrs Bucket, and with his grandparents Grandma Georgiana, Grandpa George, Grandma Josephine and Grandpa Joe.
“Get me to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory!” bellowed Vercua. “Immediately!”

Then Vercua’s parents would lie still on their beds, rubbing their eyes, and agree with Vercua.
But not this time.
Vercua, an animal lover, had thousands of animals at her house. She had rabbits, fishes, dogs, snakes…and she just needed a squirrel to finish her collection. But last time, she failed because the squirrels seemed much better than Vercua. They just pushed her down a garbage chute, and left her there.
“I do NOT want to take you there,” said Mrs Salt. “Or you would bring us to more trouble, Vercua.”

“Agreed,” said Mr Salt. “Do not go to the factory.”
And then Veruca would lie on her back, wailing and pleading and begging at her parents to go to the factory.
“I let you off, because I gave you the Golden Ticket,” sighed Mrs Salt. “And you did not pay for us, because Vercua means Trouble.”
“And you should say to Mrs Salt something,” said Mr Salt. “And think about your actions.”
Veruca went upstairs to the bedroom to have some

quiet time. Also to play on her secret computer, which she did not ask her parents to buy and she kept it in the bedroom. Veruca played her favourite game.
THUD THUD. Parents coming. Veruca hid her computer into her bedsheet. Veruca sat in the bedroom chair, thinking.
“OK, time for Sunday Bedsheet change,” said Mr Salt.

2 The Trouble of Vercua Salt
Mr Salt arrived at Vercua’s bed, and looked at the bedsheet. He touched it and saw a..
“Veruca! Come here at once!” bellowed Mr Salt.
“What’s wrong?” asked Veruca.
“Who brought this COMPUTER?!” questioned Mr Salt.

Vercua did not reply to Mr Salt.
“I said, who brought this computer?!” asked Mr Salt.
“Nobody,” said Veruca, putting her hands behind her back, as she learnt in her book, How To Let People Believe a Lie.
“Oh, so you didn’t bring this computer,” said Mr Salt, and left the room.
Vercua sighed in relief, and played on her computer.
Meanwhile, Mr Bucket went to Vercua’s Book Library because he didn’t know if Vercua was telling the truth or not.
He saw the book How To Let People Believe a Lie.
Mr Bucket opened a random page, and it said…

PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK IF YOU WANT PEOPLE TO BELIEVE A LIE.
Angrilly, Mr Salt climbed up the bedroom stairs with the book.
“Are you quite sure that you did NOT buy the computer?” asked Mr Salt.
“Yes,” said Veruca, and put her hands behind her back.
“I see you are lying…” said Mr Salt, as he opened the page with the message.
“Wait…how did you know THAT?” asked Vercua.
“First, answer this: did YOU buy that computer without asking?” asked Mr Salt.
“Fine. I DID!” shouted Vercua.
“You are going to be GROUNDED!” shouted Mr Salt. “And I am getting rid of that computer.”
“NOOOO!” exclaimed Veruca.
And with that, Mr Salt stomped downstairs.
Mr Salt was thinking about ripping or
crushing Vercua‘s book. He wanted to stop Veruca learning all the methods in the book.
He ripped open the pages, soaked them in paper, and hid it. Mrs Salt, a great inventor, invented a machine to break anything it can. They were going to destroy Mr Wonka’s factory…
3 Charlie and Veruca
This day was no different for Charlie. A bit. It changed when Charlie went to the Chocolate Room.
When Charlie was about to leave the chocolate room, he saw a girl.
“What on earth are you doing here?” demanded Charlie, closing the door behind him. “You are a BAD NUT!”
“And…what on earth are you doing here?” asked Vercua, her voice sounding like nuts and her face like crazy.

“I am the owner of the Chocolate factory, Charlie Bucket,” said Charlie.”Remember me?”
“Excuse me, but do you have any squirrels left?” asked Vercua.
“We do!” exclaimed Charlie proudly as he went to the Nut Room, where the squirrels are kept.
Charlie came back with one big fat squirrel.
“Please don’t give me that squirrel,” Vercua remarked. “It’s the leader squirrel. It would miss its home.”

“It’s fine. Squirrels don’t miss homes,” calmed Charlie. “Here. Here is your squirrel.”
Vercua sighed. She didn’t like the squirrel.
5 Vercua’s Parent’s Revenge
An hour later, Mr Salt and Mrs Salt went to Vercua’s bedroom and they saw…
NOBODY. ABSOLUTELY NOBODY.
“Where are you, Vercua? Don’t hide!” asked Mr Salt and Mrs Salt.
They went to the place where Mr Salt hid Vercura’s computer and it was…
GONE. ABSOLUTELY GONE.
“When I see this kid, I would ground her forever!” wailed Mr Salt and stormed down the stairs.
Mrs Salt made a detector that can find Vercua Salt in
one trillion milliseconds. The parents used it and they saw that Vercua was at the Chocolate Factory.
