When Lilian was born, my whole life changed. Mindful parenting became my focus. Raising a resilient, happy human became my priority. She will change the world because she is kind and resilient. This book is inspired by her light. 

My Mom told me, when I was born, 

I was so SPECIAL.

When I took my first breath, my Mom told me 

I brought LIGHT into this world.

Can I tell you a secret?

 It is hard to say this because I feel embarrassed and sad. 

My Mom says expressing my feelings helps my light stay bright, so here it goes...

Some days, I don't feel like a bright, special star.

The light that I was born with feels 

dim, low, and maybe it even disappears. 

Some days, I feel anxious.

Anxious means I am not happy or sad, but I just don't feel special at all. 

My Mom taught me how to handle this feeling.

a heart hug. 

i grab my favorite stuffy or even someone i love, and hug them with my heart close to theirs.

Bullies are people who try to dim your light.
