Lily loved words. She loved reading them, writing them, and even just saying them out loud to hear how they sounded.

Every day, Lily brought a notebook to school. She filled it with stories and ideas. She was very proud of her writing.

One morning, something strange happened. Lily opened her notebook and the pages were blank! All her words were gone!

At school, things were not normal. The board was empty. Her teacher did not know what to say. The students tried to talk. But their words came out wrong. Some could not speak at all.

Lily went to the library. She opened a book and then another. Every page was empty! 

Lily walked outside. People looked confused. Lily felt worried. “How will we talk? How will we learn?” She thought.
She knew she had to fix this.

Then Lily saw something strange. Tiny glowing shapes floated in the air. They looked like lost words!
