I was watching the scorpions without getting close .
ICE CREAM
On Mother's Day, I told my mom and grandmother I wanted ice cream, so we got ready and went out. I'd taken some of my allowance with me. We bought the ice cream, and as my mom went to pay, I went with her. Just as she was about to pay, I told her it was Mother's Day and that I wanted to pay. Then I said, "Happy Mother's Day," and I paid the bill. I was only two years old that day, and it was an unforgettable day for my mom and grandmother.

A Journey Through Struggles
My mother’s name is Evi, and she grew up in Agia Paraskevi, specifically in “Kontopefko”. Her neighborhood had a few houses and lots of children playing in big fields. With these children, she has one of her happiest childhood memories. This was the time when she and her friends went to a field at night and started a small fire in order to make popcorn in a small pot.
My mother’s family was just like a normal one. She had an older brother. Her brother did not do any chores in the house, so all the housework was done by my mother. She had to do the washing up and iron
the clothes. To manage her responsibilities, she woke up early in the morning, went to school, and after that started doing housework and her homework. At least she enjoyed going to school, so she had something to look forward to while sleeping for the next day.
Despite her chores, she also enjoyed going with her family to a restaurant every Sunday. Not only that, but she also enjoyed long summer holidays, as she used to go for two months, usually to an island. While she was on holiday at the beach, she told her parents that when she grew up she would become a flight attendant. As the years passed, she thought of
becoming many different jobs, like working in the military. No matter what job she chose, she wanted to succeed in her life through studying.

A Conversation from the Heart
One day, Sarp decided to have a small but meaningful interview with his mother. Holding an imaginary microphone, he stood in front of her and began with a smile:
“Hello mom, today we’re going to do an interview together.”
His mother smiled back and replied, “Hello, my son.”
Curiously, Sarp asked, “Mom, what year were you born and where?”
His mother paused briefly, as if drifting into the past. “I was born in 1988, in Eskişehir,” she said.
Sarp continued with his questions: “What games did you
play when you were a child?”
His mother’s eyes lit up. “We used to jump rope, play volleyball, and play hide and seek… We had so much fun,” she said.
Sarp wanted to ask a more emotional question: “When was your happiest moment?”
Without hesitation, his mother answered, “The moment I first held you and your sibling in my arms.”
Hearing this, Sarp smiled and asked curiously, “What was I like as a baby?”
His mother looked at him with affection. “You were a very sweet and calm baby. You never upset me,” she
said.
Sarp paused for a moment, then asked a more serious question: “When was your saddest moment?”
His mother’s voice softened a little. “The moment I learned that you had diabetes. But we got through it together.”
Sarp nodded and moved on to his final questions: “What is your biggest wish for my future?”
His mother took a deep breath and spoke sincerely: “For you to be healthy, to do a job that makes you happy, and most importantly, to be a good person.”
Sarp asked one last question: “What does it mean to be a
good person?”
His mother thought for a moment and replied: “It means respecting others, not harming anyone, being responsible, and being able to empathize.”
Sarp smiled and ended the interview: “I understand, mom. Thank you.”
His mother looked at him with love and said, “No, thank you.”
That day, not only an interview but also a beautiful, unforgettable memory between a mother and her son was created.

DRAWING A PICTURE
I woke up on the morning of April 23. I got up because my mother wanted me to. I washed my hands and face and started to get ready for breakfast. We had breakfast a little late. Then my mother and I went outside. After that, we drew pictures together. First, we drew a cloud, some grass and a burning candle. Then we drew a landscape picture. In the end, we both had a lot of fun.

The Story of a Star:
My Mom
My mother's name is Şeyma. She is a star; the most compassionate and beautiful star in the world.
Her story began like this: On the first day of April in 1989, my grandmother’s first daughter—my mother—was born. She attended Fevzi Çakmak Middle School in Tokat. Later, she graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Karadeniz Technical

University.
She met my father while she was at university, and they got married in 2012. Two years later, in 2014, I was born, and five years after that, in 2019, my sibling was born.
My mother—my star—is an angel who loves us and strives for our happiness. She is the guiding light of our lives.

My Mother, Adriana
My Mother’s name is Adriana. She was born in Timişoara in 1981 and she is from Banat, a Romanian province. She attended nursery school and primary school in Timişoara and then secondary school and college, in Târgu-Jiu. My mother graduated from the Faculty of Engineering in Târgu-Jiu and the Faculty of Law in Bucharest. She also has a master’s degree in occupational health and safety. She is an engineer, a lawyer and a teacher. The best of all mothers! Sometimes, this is a problem for me. I have to study a lot: she wants me to be better than her and this is very hard. I have an older sister, she is twelve years old and she has the same problem, too. However, I love my mother very much and I know that she is my safe heaven.
