Freddy the sheep had just moved into town. He was 

kind of bashful about going to a new school. He 

loved to play base ball and he hoped the other 

lambs did too. He hoped his teacher would be nice 

too. 

 Freddy the lamb and his family had just moved 

into the neighborhood. Freddy was not happy 

about it because he didn't want to lose his old 

friends and he was worried about meeting new 

ones. What if they didn't like him? "We need to get 

you enrolled in school." Mother told him. "I don't 

want to go to school." "Why not?" "Because no 

body will probably like me." "Well you will never 

know unless you go and find out. I think you will be 

surprised." "Well will they have a place to play 

base ball?" Freddy asked. "If they don't I am not 

going to school." "You go and try it and see if they 

do or not. Besides you have to go to school any 

way." "All right I will try it but I won't like it." The 

next day Freddy walked slowly to school. He was 

wearing a baseball cap. It was white with a green 

bill.

   have a base ball team.   the next day Freddy 

walked slowly to the school. There were a   couple of 

other little lambs there and the teacher. She was 

standing out side by the school house. When Freddy 

arrived she said "Hello you must be new here. I am 

Miss Tilly and I will be your teacher. What is your 

name?" My name is Freddy."   He told her. Miss Tilly 

called to the other two lambs. "Come here, I want 

you to meet our new member of the class. This is 

Freddy and he has just moved here. Freddy this is 

Marvin and Malinda." "Hello Marvin and Malinda 

Freddy said. "Hello and I'm glad you will be in our 

class."   Malinda answered. "So am I, Marvin said." 

"It is time for school to start"   Miss Tilly said. They 

all went inside. 

                    Miss Tilly was a

                    a nice teacher.

                    Freddy decided

                    He liked her. 

                    also the lambs

                    were nice. Now

                    if they just had

                    a ball team.

It was time for recess and Miss Tilly told them 

to put away their books and they could go out

to play base ball. "YEAH.Freddy was happy. 

Some of the other lambs came out too. We like 

baseball but we don't   have any one who kows 

               the   rules very well,
