Leo loved playing outside and making people laugh.  However, he felt sad sometimes and tried not to cry.

One day, he was playing in town.  He heard some other kids make rude comments about him.  He wanted to cry, but instead he stayed quiet and kept his feelings inside.

After school, Grandpa noticed Leo seemed upset and asked what was wrong. Leo shrugged and said, “I’m fine,” even though he wasn’t.

Grandpa told Leo that everyone has feelings and that crying is normal. He explained that tears help people let emotions out and begin to heal.
