                  Little Duckie Dolittle

 Mama Duck 

 Charlie Duck 

 Lucy Duck 

Dickie Duck 

Papa Duck

There was a duck family who had three babies

 There was Charlie, Lucy and Dickie Duck. 

Mother and Father duck was very proud of their 

babies but Charlie and Lucy gave Dickie Duck a

very hard time because he didn't look like the 

rest of them. They called him yellow duck and 

other names. It made Dickie duck very sad. He

thought he was ugly.   Mother Duck would take

them out to the pond for exercise every day but 

Dickie didn't want to go because he thought the 

other ducks would laugh at him. He decided 

that he would run away. No body would care if 

he did he thought,

                                                        cared

                                                         would

care any way.

                      He took off the next day and 

started walking until he saw a nice green lawn 

with lots of shade trees. But he didn't see any 

place to swim. So he kept going and looking for 

a place that had lots of water. He kept going 

until he came to a place with lots of water.

there was plenty of water and some trees and 

he thought this would be the perfect place. He 

had never swam that far before. But there was 

no one there to laugh at him. He decided he 

was thirsty and started to take a drink but the 

water was too salty. It was not good for him. 

Well maybe he could at least swim for a while.

                      He got into the water and started 

to swim. It was fun but suddenly some big 

waves came up and took him further out to 

sea. He could see some islands out there but 

they were a long ways off. Now he was starting 

to get scared. He wished that mama or papa 

duck was here to rescue him but they didn't 

know where he was. 

Dickie was getting further and further out and 

he wasn't strong enough to buck the waves. 

Now he was really scared. 

Then a yellow fish came along. "Hey little duck 

what are you doing way out here?" he asked. "I

ran away from home because every one was 

 laughing at me                               because

I am yellow and they think I'm ugly." "Well I 

am

yellow and every one thinks I'm handsome. You 

are probably t

\he best looking duck and they are   jealous.

                       Do you really think so?" Dickie 

asked. Yes I do but now how are we going to 

get you back to shore?" "I don't know and I'm 

scared." Dickie admitted. "Well maybe one of 

my big friends can help you and take you back 

on their back." "Oh I hope so if they arn't 

dangerous." "I will go down and find a nice fish 

that you will like. 

                        Yellow fish dived down and 

found Clarise the dolphin and explained the 

situation to her. Yes I can take him back to 

shore. He can just sit on my back and ride 

back." she said.                                             

Soon Clorese and yellow fish came back up 

from under the water. "This is my friend 

Clorese yellow fish introduced her. "Hello little 

duck I 

can help you get back to shore but don't try to 

come back in. This is not the place for little 

ducks. Now can you clime

  up on my back?" Yes I think so Dickie said.
