One night our lion family was having dinner. Me and my 

brothers had finished eating and were playing in the 

summer night. Then suddenly I saw a light. I wanted to 

follow it but I knew that mom would not let me. So I 

made a plan to go off in the night. 

After a while I left. I kept going for a looooong time in 

the light’s direction. Suddenly I heard a rustle, and a 

scrunch. I started to run. I ran so much that I got lost. I 

tried to find mom and dad but I couldn’t. I gave up 

because I was weak, tired and sleepy. I slept through 

the night, and at morning I set of again. 

This time I saw a..a..a human!

She had long, curly black hair and a charming smile. Also she 

had on a brown T-shirt and brown shorts. A badge on her said 

Wildlife Ranger. I was very scared. She was alarmed to see 

my family wasn’t with me. Then slowly she started to walk 

toward me. Her hands trembling she picked me up. She put 

me in a basket and put a cloth over me. 

In no time I was at this thing called a house. I saw 

an...an..another human coming toward me! Luckily these 

humans were nice and gave me milk. Then they put me inside 

a warm room. I felt cozy and warm. I slept through the night. 

Early next morning we got ready. We set off to find my family. 

They called some friends. We looked all day and searched 

places like caves, cliffs, ponds, bushes, woods, dens but could 

not find my family.
