The Little Givers

     Setta and James were brother and sister.They played very well 

together.Since they were born Setta and James were given toys and 

more toys.When Christmas would come they received more 

toys.When their birthday would arrive they received more 

toys.Sometimes they would get clothes but most times they 

received lots of toys.

     Mommy decided that one day when she entered their playroom 

there seemed to be no more room for anymore toys.Mommy had a 

great idea. She sat down with Setta and James to talk about her 

new idea.

    `Well Setta and James. I would like to say that I am very happy 

that you are here to listen to my great idea. Do you both agree that 

you have many toys in your playroom? I feel that you both may agree 

with me. 

     I want you Setta and James to tell me if you agree with a kind 

heart. I hope you will not feel too sad saying goodbye to some of 

your clothes and toys.Take some time to think about it then come to 

me and share your feelings about this idea.I will understand if you 

say no.Okay now I will go and get us some juice.I will be back in a 

jiffy' said mom with a smile.

    Setta had a lovely thought in her head.She had dreamed of giving 

another little girl one of her favorite balls.The little girl looked like 

her but younger.She handed the pink and green ball to the little 

girl.Setta's smile was really big.The little girl was smiling from ear 

to ear.Setta had a warm feeling in her tiny heart when she gave a toy 

to someone who did not have many toys to play with.

     James smiled an even bigger smile when he dreamed of giving 

away his red fire truck.The little boy grinned when he got to hold 

the truck.James would tell him it was his to keep forever and 

ever.What an awesome feeling when someone gives from the 

goodness of their hearts.

     Setta and James felt alright knowing their toys and clothes 

would go to others.They felt even happier knowing giving to others 

and making them smile was a very good idea. Mommy entered the 

room holding juice for Setta and James.She looked at their faces. 

She knew right away that the idea of giving away their extra toys 

and clothes was perfect.It was not long before James and Setta got 

right into separating each item one at a time and placing them in a 

box.

     Every now and then mommy looked on the faces of her children as 

they placed each item into a container.She knew it was not going to 

be easy for Setta and James to give away their toys right away.It 

was only a matter of time before Setta spoke in a very low voice.
