Once upon a time, there was a fox named Felix.
Felix lived with his mom and dad in a nice, little
house in the forest.
One day Felix was feeling very nervous,
because it was his first day of first grade, at a
new school. Felix was scared that no one was
going to like him, and that he would not make
any friends.

When Felix got to school, he was super
nervous. He walked through the doors, and
all he saw were hippos.
Hippos were everywhere. Small hippos, big
hippos, gray hippos, and purple hippos.
“This school is all hippos, but I’m not a
hippo, I’m a fox!”, exclaimed Felix.

Felix walked very fast to his class, so that none of
the hippos would see he was a fox. When he got to
his class, he was relieved to see that his teacher
was a giraffe. “Maybe this won’t be so bad after
all!”

Felix found a seat in the middle of the class, sat
down, and waited for class to start. While he was
waiting, a group of hippos walked into the
classroom
“This is no ordinary group of hippos”, thought Felix,
and he was right. This was Henry the hippo, and his
group of hippos. The most popular hippos in the
school. They ruled the school by being mean to get
what they wanted. But, Felix didn’t know that Henry
and the hippos were mean, “Maybe they’ll want to
be friends.”

So Felix went up, and introduced himself, “Hi, my
name is Felix what’s yours?”
“I’m Henry, and these are my hippo friends, what
are you?”, Henry chuckled. “Well I’m a Fox”, replied
Felix. “Foxes are weird, we don’t like foxes, right
guys?” Henry's hippos all shook their heads yes.

“Well why don’t you like foxes?”, Felix asked sadly,
“I’m just like you!”. “No you aren’t,” Henry angrily
replied, “You look different than us. You’re orange,
skinny and furry. Us hippos are gray and round.
Now get up you’re in my seat weirdo!”
