     Once upon a time, in a far off galaxy in 

space, there stood a star that was lonely. This 

star was so lonely, it grew two tiny arms and 

two tiny furry legs, a small snout with many 

whiskers and cute tiny ears. This stars name 

was Nova, and his goal in life was to find some 

friends in this lonely universe so he set off in 

the highly populated system that was nearby 

him, The Solar System.

     As Nova went inside he found a planet called 

Venus with a reddish outside appearance, it seemed 

to have a hot surface that could harm him so he put 

on his special space suit to keep him safe and cold. 

He flew down past thick clouds that hid the even 

redder land below it. There were lakes of lava that 

flowed through in curious ways, stopping Nova from 

getting anywhere easily. However, nearby there was 

one little lava man who seemed very lonely. Nova 

walked over and asked the poor lava man what was 

wrong.   “I'm so lonely!” said the lava man, “I'd 

sure like a friend!”

     Nova smiled and hugged him, “I'll be your friend!” He 

exclaimed. They both hugged and went on their way to the 

next destination in Novas journey. They flew past a big blue 

and green planet and landed on its neighbor The Moon. It 

had a dusty, rocky white surface and was very cold, so 

Nova put on a jacket to keep himself warm. As the two 

walked in search of a friend, they found a grey alien 

throwing rocks above him.

     “What are you doing?” Nova asked. “I am trying to 

make a bridge out of rocks so I can reach the sky!” The 

alien said, “Its been my dream since I was a kid to explore 

space and find other aliens like me.” 

     “I'll take you with us!” Nova exclaimed, “we're both 

looking for aliens like us and make more friends.” He said 

with a smile.
