The story of Emma:
In Ohio lived a curious little girl named Emma Hanson. She was 8 years old. Her dream was to become a pilot, with her bright eyes and warm smile she told her mom but her mom refused to let her grow up to be a pilot. She wanted her to be a doctor, like a "decent" girl.

"There are too many risks with flying a plane" said Emma's mom. Emma just couldn’t give up on her dream, she walked away teary eyed. She wanted to join a pilots club at the library where she always went to read all kinds of aerial books, but she had to pay to join. She didn’t want to disappoint her mom. So Emma came

up with a plan.
In the summer she made a lemonade stand, took jobs walking dogs, and packed groceries at the supermarket. Emma told her mom about the jobs and she approved. She didn’t tell Emma that it was to keep her away from her dream of being a pilot.

Emma finally made enough money and secretly joined the club. While Emma was at pilot club her mom thought she was walking dogs and packing groceries.
Emma knew that it was really bad keeping something from her mom but she really loved piloting, she

"By: Ladybug"
The books we read as children can have a huge impact on the weird humans we eventually become. Our beliefs, aspirations, and morals can all be attributed to the colorful pages we excitedly soaked in during our youth. So, whether you're buying a book for a friend's child, your own child, or for yourself (because why not? We would), make it a piece of literature that sustains and empowers children. Because, well, those little messages go a long way. Helping children become aware of their dreams and teaching them how to reach for goals is a critical skill parents and teachers need to encourage. Our hopes and dreams shape our lives, the choices we make, and the success we achieve. Everyone has different dreams – and a different definition of success. But everyone needs a dream. Dreams and goals give life purpose, direction, and meaning. They help young people build toward the future, and offer a sense of control and hope.
