We left school early at 2 o'clock instead of half past 3. So we said goodbye to our friends and got excited about the few days ahead of us because the next week was the summer holidays when we were going to Scotland.

It's Auntie Rozlyn's birthday! We are going up to Scotland today! I am very excited because we are going to Scotland and we only go to Scotland once a year. And I get to see all my Scottish family, I am also excited because this time we are going on the plane, not in the car like we normally do.

So we set off to Cardiff airport in the car. It took one hour to get there and when I saw the airport in the distance there was also ponies in field as we drove by.

When we got to the airport we had to put our bags on the conveyor belt and went upstairs to eat, we went through security and bought a magazine and sweets.

It was finally time to get on the aeroplane! I was reading my magazine and eating sweets, and just before take off dad made me suck a fruit pastel so when it took off it didn't block my ears.

It was really fun being on the aeroplane when it was flying and really enjoyed being so close to the clouds.

When we landed I was super excited and when we got off the plane the lady gave us a sweet each and we ate them while we went through security and then we got out and Auntie Fiona and Charlotte and Rebecca picked us up, we said hello and got in the car and we were on our way to Granny's house.

I was really excited to see Granny!
