My Name

2
Does your name have a sentimental meaning? The full name given to me is Gladys Allison Perez, and it has various meanings. My first name is Gladys; my name was given to me by my father. He picked the name at random and said he liked it so he decided to show my mother, and they had a disagreement on which should be my first name. Gladys or Allison, after a long talk and arguing, my mother finally gave up the feud since it did remind her of her godmother.
3
My mother's godmother was a seamstress she was very into the family gathering and was usually at the house all the time. From what my mother has told me I was nothing like her which I found to be very shocking. It's usually the person who you were named after reminds others of them in you. My nickname is Gbaby, even now to my family it is still that. Gbaby came around when I was of course a baby and they just took the first letter of my name. I always thought my name was actually Gbaby when I was in school, that is what I used to write on my papers.
4
I like my nickname it suits me, even now in my high school years I will always act like a child and nothing else more. I use my nickname so often I believe it will actually be my name even some of my friends use Gbaby it's my second name, I use it on every social media that I have followed by my birthday. I've never once used my middle name for anything unless I know it's dangerous or I’m signing up for some weird website, my grandmother calls me Allison at times but I usually don't answer.
5
Looking up my name, Gladys, it had about three meaning of what it interprets; the Latin and American meaning for Gladys is sword. In French it means lame, in Welsh it refers to princess. Gladys is my name and the meaning behind it, all have my attention, the meanings all represents me.Sword; a weapon used when threatened. A sword is strong to most things but not all, when my friends or I get threatened I am the first to strike back, the one who goes forward with my words and opinions. I am not the one to stand down. Lame; someone who is stupid or unoriginal.
6
When choices come to play I am very indecisive. Lame to me, means someone who can not think for themselves, and being lame is what I am. Princess; a daughter of someone who is royalty or treated like royalty. My father in some ways that can not be told is royalty, he has said to us before that we are royalty and he shall keep it that way. It is very misunderstood on how we are royalty but my father has his ways. These meanings in my name, they all speak on the behalf of who I am or will be. I am a Lame Sword Princess.

My Hair

8
Everyone’s hair is different in their own ways. My hair is a tangled mess, just like when you put your headphones in your pocket and they come out a tangled mess. It never stays in one place, it droops all over the table as I lay my head. When I was younger, even now I loathe brushing my hair, it makes it all frizzy and a complete mess than it was before, it’s like a broom stuck on a piece of gum!

9
My mother always yelled at me for not brushing it and not having hair like hers. My mother’s hair is so effulgent in the sun or light, the color of midnight blue stares right at you, making you want to admire it. It is like a shield shining in the glimmering sunlight. The scent of my mother’s straight and perfect hair smelled as shea butter filled the room. She can do any style and her hair will never get damage as if it is made of armour.

10
On the other hand, my sister’s hair is very thick. It feels as if a tornado ran around and decided to live there for a while in it. Her hair looks so thick, big, and frizzy, just like a wet cat trying to lick itself clean. She can never do anything to her hair unless she just wants it to become frizzy and big but, her hair smells like a single rose in a garden filled with tulips, I guess that's the upside. Either way I can’t be discreet about her hair since I have the same hair as hers.

11

My brother has the softest but spikest hair in the family. His hair when gelled up looks like Goku in his Super Saiyan form. Other than my sister and I, he likes to take care of his hair more than anything else. At times I used to tell him that I will collect all the seven dragonballs and wish that his hair would vanish and never come back.

12
My father. His hair is so long and so wavy that it looks as if his hair was a wave in the ocean, all nice from afar but when up close and personal it’s not so nice. White hair from stress engulf his dark black hair that reaches to his back, he always puts it in a low ponytail or unless he lets some of his twelve children to put it into braids and practice.

13
The last person that I would like to introduce is my dad, my mother’s husband. He is very different with his hair. How is he different?, because he has no hair. It’s a very different trying to smell someone’s head that has no hair but I tried and it smells like clean soap. His hair is partly spiky when he doesn’t shave for a while, it is like a little baby cactus. Hair is a part of one's personality even if it is just there, it still has a meaning.
