Summer was almost over and the first day of school was getting closer and closer! Everyone was eager to get back to school except for Berry the Bunny who had just moved into Butter Town and was terrified to go to school.

Berry moved from Glass Meadow, a town with only bunnies. That's where Berry felt comfortable. Berry was scared, he was terrified that his classmates at Butter Town School would tease him for being the only bunny there.

Berry went to his mother and father. "Do I have to go?" he cried. "I don't want to be the only bunny there!"

"What do you have to fear?" asked Mama Bunny.

"Everyone is going to tease me!" raged Berry. "No ones going to want to be my friend! I look and sound different from them!" continued Berry angrily. "Back in Glass Meadow, it was just bunnies, but here in Butter Town, I'm the only one and everyone will make fun of me for who I am!"

Papa Bunny frowned. "Go to school son. You can't let things like this stop you. Very soon, you'll realize, life has nothing to do with how you look, and everything to do with how you act."

Berry moped on his way to school. He didn't want to go, he felt like he didn't belong.

Berry was really upset. On his way too school, all he could think about was how as soon as he walked in to class, he would be made fun of. Berry was devastated that Papa forced him to go to school. Back in Glass Meadow, everyone was his friend, everyone was the same! All he wanted, was to go back.

Berry finally arrived to Butter Town School. "I don't want to go in, I don't want to go in, I don't want to go in" he whispered to himself.

Berry frowned, and as he thought about whether to go in or not, he ran into some kids. Berry froze. He was shocked at the diversity but still afraid that he would be teased.

Tariq the Turtle got excited as soon as he saw Berry. He quickly went over to him and said "My names Tariq, and I'm happy to meet you! lets go inside." Berry was surprised at how welcoming Tariq was and followed him in.
