"Mom... Dad... I don't feel like a boy. I feel like I'm in the wrong body and that I was supposed to be a girl," said Quincy.
"It's okay," Quincy's mom replied. "We love you exactly the way you are."
Quincy's dad said, "you are something called transgender. It's when you don't identify yourself with the gender you were born."
After their talk, Quincy's parents began using female pronouns like she and her.

What's his problem?

Being in the boys' locker room made her feel uncomfortable. She felt scared and awkward. Everyone seemed to think that she was a boy and that she was just confused.

One day, Quinn had finally had enough of trying to use the girls’ bathroom after she was asked to leave by some of her classmates because they said they felt uncomfortable. Quinn understood how they were feeling, but she thought she wasn't doing anything wrong by using the bathroom.

The bias of this topic depends on what view you are looking towards. In the media it is currently around 50/50. Many people are scared for the safety of their children in case if a pervert abuses transgender bathroom laws. There seems to be a slight favor towards allowing transgenders to not have to go to the bathroom assigned to the gender on their birth certificate because supporters feel that you should be able to go to the bathroom that you feel most comfortable in. Our story views the perspective from a young transgender and what it is like for the people who have to live with this issue every day and have to speak out for their rights to make a change.
