Bunker gear is the equipment that firefighters have to wear. It has boots, pants, coat, radio, and personal hand tools

Every city in the world has many fire stations. The closest station to the scene of the threat will get called in to rescue survivors.

To douse a fire, firefighters use water from their water hose to decrease the flames.

E is for Extinguisher
If there’s a small fire in most building, they're fire extinguishers. It is used to stop the fire from spreading and catching other things in flames. Fire extinguishers have carbon dioxide (CO2), the same thing we breathe out which helps against fires and potassium bicarbonate (KHCO3), you can find in club soda.

Firefighters have to be really careful when dealing with fire. Fire can be from 750 degrees Fahrenheit up to a 1,100 degress Fahrenheit

To make sure that whatever trouble they face, they can handle it, and firefighters have a ton of gear on them or inside their fire truck. They have their helmet, breathing apparatus a light, and bunker gear.

If there’s a fire that’s really high up, firefighters can use 24-foot ladders. Firefighters climb up the ladder and are able to enter where the fire is and help people escape the fire.

Both ambulances and fire trucks both respond to medical calls. There could be a chance that the victim could be in danger when they made the call and they need both ambulance and firefighter help.
