This morning was just like every other morning,the chief's youngest daughter,Kuwanlelenta woke up happily.She wanted to rush outside to the beautiful stream,where the,splendid salmon were. Kuwanlelenta loved the sound of salmons splashing.They all seem to follow their leader.

The stream shimmered when sun shone,trees on the side were stunning.She would look in to the pure,fresh water and see the grassy,lush weeds blowing softly.Nearby was a waterfall where the water flowed rapidly,leading the salmon to the ocean.

As she neared the stream,she heard no splashing.But men's voices instead.She feared,Kuwanlelenta knew whose those voices belongs to.They belong to two First Nations men,who was mysterious and always seemed to be hiding something.She often find them doing bad things or not obeying the village's beliefs.But they never got caught.

"Hurry up!Let's go,more fish for us!"chuckled one.

"We're the best hunters in this village!"boasted the other.

When they left,Kuwanlelenta rushed by the stream side.She was shocked when she saw there were almost no fish left.

Except for a little salmon who came up slowly under the grassy weeds with fear in her eyes.

The little salmon began to speak to her,"Sister,sister,listen to me .I've lost my whole family.Please follow me."

Kuwanlelenta followed.They passed a old tree trunk with long beautiful dark green weeds,the water was clear and fresh.The salmon swam slowly and started whimpering softly.

"Sister,put your feet in the water.Slowly get yourself in and I will help you."

Kuwanlelenta looked at her clothes and shock her head sadly,"I would love to help you,but I can't go underwater."

The salmon giggled,"No silly,it's magical you don't get wet and you will feel normal!"

Kuwanlelenta gave in and decided to give it a try.

"Here I come!",she smiled.

The salmon told her seriously,"Sister dear,you will float underwater.Later you will reach a secret water passageway inside the rocks,enter it.There you will have the guide."

"I must go!Good luck!I await your return!"

Kuwanlelenta actually quite enjoyed the journey.She loved floating,the water was pushing her through.It was so pretty underneath,Kuwanlelenta never imagined how being underwater was like!

She was so glad she could breath normally!

When Kuwanlelenta reach the rocks,she tried pushing it.Suddenly,it opened so she could go through. Kuwanlelenta tried her best to reach the other side,it was really hard to get through the sharp rocks.
