It was the best of times..........
To be or not to be..........
Once upon a time.........

I had two whole weeks to work on my creative writing assignment but here I was doing it the night before. We all had to write a story about anything we wanted. My mind went completely blank as I stared at the blank page. I was suffering from writer's block. Every time I started to write, I didn't like it and ended up scratching it out. I had crumpled up balls of paper all over my room. Frustrated, I began to doodle until my pen started running out of ink. Oh great! Now what? I searched all over my room and came across a pen I had never seen before. As soon as I picked it up, it felt warm to the touch. It felt like the pen was pulling me back to my desk to write.

The next thing I knew I started to furiously begin writing. It was like I was in a trance. It felt as though everything I was writing felt was really happening to me. And that's because it was. Suddenly I was riding a horse dressed like a cowboy. "I'm a cowboy, on a brown horse I ride..,". "Deputy! Come quick! Black Bart has come to Tumbleweed City and the Sheriff is missing!" "Deputy? Me?" She looked frightened so I headed into town. It was like a city from the Old West. I walked into the saloon and saw a ornery-looking man with a black beard and eyepatch. "Excuse me Mr. Black Bart. I'm here to arrest you sir" I said as my knees began shaking. "You? Ha! Not without a duel." "Duel?"

"One sarsaparilla to go" I told the barkeep. I slowly walked outside sipping my drink. Black Bar was waiting for me and he was one big dude. I can't do this. Think Andy think. Then an idea popped into my head and I began to write a new scene. "Black Bart, you're under arrest for all of those train robberies." It was the Sheriff! He had been hiding behind some rocks. He led Black Bart to the local jail where the rest of his gang was waiting. Whew! That was close. Before I could catch my breath I found myself writing again. I started to feel lighter than air as I was drifting up to sky above.

Aww, these little guys are adorable. They must live on this planet. They have their own language that sounds like beeping noises than words. This is much better than a duel with a big bad outlaw in the Old West. As relaxing as this is, there isn't much of a story here. What's that rumbling noise? These little guys are starting to get scared. "Oh no!" said one of the tiny orange aliens. Okay, now that I understood. The noise was getting closer and louder. The aliens began to hop away. "Where are you guys going? It's just a bit of noise. Guys?" Coming this way was the scariest, ugliest alien I had ever seen. And I think he was coming for me!

The alien monster grabbed me with his big sharp fangs. How am I going to get out of this one? I scrambled to find a way out but I didn't like any of the ideas I thought up. I was starting to panic. I didn't want to become a snack for a giant alien. Then from out of nowhere a rocket ship appeared and freed me from the creature's jaws. I boarded the ship and breathed a heavy sigh of relief. That was way too close. I desperately needed a break but I couldn't let go of the pen. It was like it was connected to my brain somehow. Who would've thought having such a vivid imagination would turn out to be such a bad thing?

I ended up in a bright and noisy casino. I'm a secret agent. Hey, nice suit! I looked good. I think I'll play some Blackjack, have some lemonade, and talk to some pretty girls. "Hey you big goofballs! Get your hands off of me!" I yelled as two big men dragged me away from the table. "The boss wants to see you" said one of the goons. I thought up a really cool fight scene where I would knock out these tough guys and escape but I was getting a cramp in my right hand and couldn't write it out in time. I wonder where they were taking me. More importantly, who was "The Boss?"
