H is for heli- hiking. Taking a tour in Alaska can be very exciting, but it can also take days to get from place to place. Therefore many people like to take a helicopter and take frequent stops to enjoy the nature.

I is for Iditarod. This annual long-distance sled dog race run is in March. Mushers and a team of 21 dogs cover the distance in 9–15 days or more. The Iditarod began in 1973 as an event to test the best sled dog mushers and teams but evolved into today's highly competitive race.

J is for Juneau, the capital city of Alaska. The area of this city is larger than that of Rhode Island state. It is the only U.S. state capital to share border with a foreign nation, bordered on the east by Canada.

M is for Malaspina. The largest glacier in the world at 850 square miles. The water spills from a step valley onto a flat plain, where a mixture of ice and picked up soil spreads out like pancake batter.
